The room layout was perfect. Separate sleeping and lounging area. The bed was very comfortable. I didn't want to get out of bed!

The staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was hot and offered a variety of food choices to fit many diets. I will definitely come back to this hotel on my next stay in Charlottsville.

Easy to park. Walk to restaurants. AC was good and not too noisy. Clean.

Bathroom was too small.

We recently stayed at the Waynesboro Best Western for 7 nights. During that time, the staff was always welcoming and the hotel was very clean. The only negative comment I can make is that the breakfast left something to be desired. Finally, after we had been there for 5 nights they changed one menu item - substituting bacon for sausage on the buffet. I realize most travellers probably don't stay for 7 nights but for those few who do have an extended stay it would really be nice to have a little more variety. I was also surprised that what I thought was a 'no-brainer' was missing from the selections available - no donuts! In fact, we ended up eating breakfast elsewhere on two mornings just because we couldn't face another boring morning meal! I overheard one staff member tell another guest that they had no control over what their 'home office' sent to be served so perhaps my comments would be better directed to BW's 'home office'. Other than the boring breakfast the BW in Waynesboro is ...

This hotel is an older hotel, but rooms were clean. It was very humid while we were in Charlottesville and the air conditioner is an outside unit and it just brought all that humidity into the room. Staff was very courteous. Beds were reasonably comfortable. For purchase, the restaurant had a breakfast buffet -- menu did not vary.

The price point was perfect for the location. Accommodations were great, staff was friendly, and breakfast was more than enough to satisfy.

Great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of downtown Charlottesville. More for your money than some higher end hotels downtown. I'd look to stay here again next time I travel to the area.

I spent two nights at the Double Tree in Charlottesville for a business trip.  Somehow, I was booked on the 9th floor Executive Level (thanks Travelocity) where there was a complementary breakfast and a happy hour (5-8pm).  The happy hour could substitute for dinner and the wine pourings were generous.  The room was extremely clean and the staff very accommodating.  The only problem I had was my room cards kept demagnetizing--maybe because they were too close to my cell phone.   Would definitely stay there again.

2nd floor rooms (former smoking floor) still had lingering smoke smells and no other king rooms were available - so we took a double on the 6th floor. Room and hotel was acceptable but nothing special.

Only good thing I can say is the location was good for me.

This is a classic low budget motel -- old worn out furnishings, reek of tobacco in public areas, virtually no amenities.

Great location on the Charlottesville Mall. Pleasant hotel with a business-visit atmosphere.

We stayed when the price was reduced, which is the only time I think the Omni is worth the money. For the orindary nightly rate (>$250-300/night), I prefer to stay at a B&B, Boars Head, or even a vacation rental.

The Hilton Garden Inn was comfortable and the room was perfectly clean. The hotel setting was very pretty - our room overlooked a pond containing swans, geese and herons. I felt that for the price we paid a continental breakfast should have been provided instead of costing an extra $6 / person. The bed had adjustable firmness settings, and was fine once I got it set correctly.

Desk personnel were friendly (except one with an unsmiling 'attitude'), knowledgeable and helpful. The cafe area was too bright and uninviting. Lighting in the room was CFLs, which gave the otherwise pleasant room a cold environment. They should get 'warmer' versions. However, the yellow wallpaper in the bathroom warmed up the bulb color to a very pleasant 'daylight'. The room was spotless, but a bulb was out on one of the lamps (I didn't mention it to the front desk). The bathroom was not quite as spotless, with a hair or two in the corner and black finger marks on the door and door frame. Maybe made by a plumber with dirty hands? Free Wi-Fi was intermittent and slow. Based on the packed parking lot, I presume the hotel was close to capacity on at least one of the nights I was there... but sound proofing was so good, I wouldn't have known it. Even hall vacuuming was muffled down to barely noticeable. The mattress was very comfortable. I did comment to the front desk about this... t...

great staff, nice breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. it is also near a lot of restaurants and there is a whole foods and a trader joes right down the street! major pluses in my book :D the only downfalls of this hotel were: 1. i know this probably sounds funny...the toilet! haha! i know, i know, but the toilet just was one of those old ones that didn't really flush well and 2. the hotel is next to a main street so you do get slight traffic noise. not major blights on our stay, everything else was A-OK!

While the location is right off the interstate and convenient to public transit, it would not be a pleasant walk to downtown (due to missing sidewalks at the interstate). The building itself is one of those old fashioned motels with each room having its own exterior door. We stayed on the first floor which was below the parking lot so to get into the room from the car we had to traverse some slippery steps; I almost fell twice, and I was completely sober both times. The drainage wasn't good on the sidewalk in front of the first floor doors. The door stuck, so it required an extra push to open and close it. While the room itself was clean, the bathtub had several stains; the ceiling over the bathtub looked like it was in the process of being repaired (visible sheetrock seams), and the light cover had a gap between it and the fixture hole. The toilet must have used ten gallons with every flush, and the baseboards were not flush with the walls. The bed was comfortable, and the noise level...

In order to accommodate the roll away bed I moved both double beds from the center about six inches each. To my surprise I found McDonalds debris along with other debris that became visible. I asked for another room, which was two doors down that also had debris under them in less quanities than the first room. The roll away bed that I prepaid for had to be borrowed from an adjacent hotel and appeared not to have fresh linen on it. When I booked the room it had a three star rating, it should be 1/2 star. I felt that the room was over priced.

Room was comfortable, as was bed. Plumbing worked. TV worked

Breakfast was a disappointment. Waffles were good. Orange juice dispenser was broken. Only juice available was apple, which tasted like used dishwater. Pretty poor excuse for breakfast.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.
