Pros:I stayed here after 3 flights starting in Utah. It was my first time in Taipei. I was so exhausted I could barely think straight. The cab from the airport to the hotel was very fast and cheap. I got in very late and the staff checked me in quickly (I had booked my room online). The room was massive. I got a "superior" room with a king size bed. There are water coolers (with a hot water spout) on each floor. There was a fridge in my room. The shower head was massive and had great pressure, there was a deep bathtub too but I didn't use it. The buffet for breakfast was a great intro to Taiwanese food! It was delicious and lots of variety. The room was easily temperature controlled with A/C or heat.

Pros:The room was clean and the staff was very helpful.
Cons:The continental breakfast tasted like leftovers. Many of the dishes were cold. The fries and chicken nuggets were rock hard. The AC wasn’t very powerful.

Pros:Close proximity to the airport and the staff were used to people staying there for layovers so they were very helpful.
Cons:There was no restaurant. They had only a buffet with probably some of the worst food I've eaten in a while and Taiwanese food is usually pretty good. The entire place was run down and had a faint odor of cigarettes. There was no bar in the hotel or hotel store to purchase amenities. Wifi was exceedingly slow even for a hotel.

Pros:City Suites Gateway is very close to the international airport (TPE), less than 10 minutes for a taxi ride to the entrance of the hotel. The room I had was great: spacious and clean with a big comfortable bed. The bathroom was big, with a powerful shower head to wash away the tiredness of your body. It's a place where you can be completely relaxed and enjoy your stay. My reservation comes with a free buffet-style breakfast. The choices were great, including Chinese & Western style of food.
Cons:I have no complaints about this hotel.
