Expect to pay about US $100 per day for a rental car, though it's possible to find discount car hire offices in Dubai that start around US $30. Public/Ground TransferLocal buses number 4, 11, 15, 33 and 44 connect with Terminal 1, while bus number 2 connects with terminal 2. Remember that a free airport shuttle runs between the two terminals every 10 minutes. The 401 and 402 buses also service terminal 1 and run once every half-hour. 401 will take you to Al Sabkha bus station, while 402 will take you to Al Ghubaiba bus station; both have intermediate stops within the city as well. Airport ShuttlesThere is an airport shuttle that runs between terminals 1 and 2 every 10 minutes. Many hotels near the airport also offer their own shuttles, the closest being Holiday Inn, Golden Tulip, InterContinental, Le Meridien, Sheraton Diera, and Marriott JW. Reservations and pick-ups can be arranged in the arrivals hall. Limousine ServicesLimousines can be ordered in advance with a private limo company, or they may be ordered after arrival from courtesy phones in the arrivals hall. Dubai Limo Service offers not only classic stretch limos, but other private luxury cars as well. Travel into Dubai City costs about US $70 for stretch limos and $40 for luxury cars. Taxi ServicesTaxi service is available 24 hours a day to Dubai City from the arrivals terminal. All taxis in the city are provided by the government-run Dubai Transport service, with each cab being meter-run. There is a 20 Dh (US $5.50) charge for pickup.
