Proximity to the marina. The suite was quite acceptable. Breakfast good.
No room service after 10am - according to reception. The room phones only worked intermittently. Reception was sloppy & unhelpful in organising transport. Reception didnt even know how long I had booked the room and 3 times blocked the door key!
Breakfast was very good, the location in the center of the city is good, you can walk to the beach (± 1 km).
the staff at the reception was not interrested in the customer
The Royal Grill is magnificent. The staff are extremely friendly. The bar is quaint.
friendliness of the staff
Internet was terrible in the 9th floor where I stayed. I found a cockroach under my bedroom.
From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.
Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice
the furtniture in the room is going.
They have a gym with a nice view at the top floor. The back and neck massage was the best I've ever got.
The hotel is gallant but old, in a busy street. On their website they advertise a glorious hotel with 5 restaurants and more, just one was open, buffet style, good food but our wine glasses came wet and dirty.
Helpful and freindly
Wind noise from badly fitting windows. Could not get breakfast as too full.
