Location was fine.
Hotel is very old and run down. Still uses room keys instead of cards. There were holes in the sheets and towels. Manager is clearly sleeping on old sofa in hotel office. The hotel is in desperate need of a complete re-do.
Reasonable price; refrigerator and microwave; good strong shower.
Walls are a little thing, so sound carries.Decent lodging for a fair price.
It was just what we needed. Our lodging plans fell through, and we needed a simple, inexpensive place for 2 nights. We got a queen bed, very good rate, and a pretty quiet/quaint area.
The owners(?) were very friendly people. Our reservation was for a queen bed, and they tried very politely to persuade us to take 2 full beds and not the room with 1 queen bed. My wife and I thought it odd, but we were able to stay in the queen bedroom. My wife and I just needed a simple place to stay. No thrills needed. No special amenities. No continental breakfast required. This place was perfect. Nothing fancy - simple throughout. It was clean and what you'd expect for an inexpensive place to stay. The owners were friendly and recommended places to eat when we asked. Small town feel. If you just need a place to sleep for a night or two and aren't too picky, then this is the place.
The price was (then) the cheapest on Priceline, though if you do not book ahead there are much cheaper places that have vacancies. There was coffee in the main office in the morning if one desired, or so I was told.
The bedding was not washed, there was neither soap nor shampoo in the bathroom, the walls were paper thin (I could hear people below me and across the hall) and perhaps worst of all there was a condom wrapper in the drawer by the bed.Not worth the money. I could have stayed at another hotel/motel by just driving in without a reservation for cheaper. The area is littered with little cheap hotels. This room was not just out of date, it was in poor condition. The carpet is stained, the walls have metal plates covering holes rather than the code required fireblock, the bathroom linoleum had cigarette burns all over around the toilet (non-smoking room), there was no soap or shampoo, the rooms were very loud (I could hear people across the h...
Ken Patel was very helpful
no Kleenex in the dispenserVery close to the Jefferson County Fair Grounds
The bathroom and bedding was clean. They had good cable TV. Hotel was small and convenient. Nice to have the table & 2 chairs.
There was NO coffee! No Kleenix. Only had half the light bulbs. Rug was horrid, but did not smell.NO COFFEE! Didn't care that they did NOT have the advertized breakfast but NO COFFEE? Hotel is old and very used but the room seemed as clean as possible and was spacious. Chairs and carpet were iffy. Fridge was unplugged and there was no microwave. Only had half the light bulbs and NO kleenix. Did have good cable TV. Bedding was old but clean. If you need an inexpensive place to stay this will pass. Just bring your own coffee pot!
The price. It was inexpensive and money is tight for me right now.
I knew what I would expect from reading other reviewsThis place was a bit run down and in need of some repair. You would not want to walk the wrinkled darkened carpet in your bare feet. But it was a good value for the price. I had a good night's sleep.
