Fantastic location and beautiful setting! Nice quiet area; clean room. Great place for lunch too! Great location in Glen Ellen. Nicely done. Simple, but clean and comfortable. Property Manager. The location could not have been better. The saloon/restaurant was very welcoming and cozy. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance. Also a grocery store and French bakery across the street. We had a wonderful time. Great location near Sonoma and the wineries in the valley. 1-2 miles away from the Jack London state park with nice walking trails. Very clean and comfortable room. Good value. Great location. The French bakery across the street, Les Pascal, was great for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed local restaurants and wineries but not too far from Sonoma A hike at the Jack London State Park is a nice break from wine tasting. Beautiful surroundings and friendly people, this Lodge is charming and hits all the right notes. The location is excellent! A quiet area tucked at the booth of a hill. Quiet and peaceful, old world charm. Found a French bakery down the block that was excellent. Jack London State Park was an unexpected treat. The room was large and clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Great location in a small town with easy access to a number of restaurants including one for breakfast. There is plenty of free parking. My sister and I were traveling not for pleasure, it was for working on our brother's affairs from his passing a month ago. The Lodge offered us respite from the chores of the day. Being outside of Santa Rosa in a peaceful place where no one knew us, and we could be quiet. After long days the drive out was relaxing and beautiful. When we would arrive at the lodge, have a nice shower then, enjoyed dinner for two nights at the Bar. The bartender was so very nice and the atmosphere was calming even if a women's soccer game was going on. We could relax a bit and just be. Watch others be spirited but kind, hear laughter, and then walk back to our room by way of the pool for our feet to relax in the lovely water. Beautiful, peaceful setting. We were upgraded to a room that had been renovated. The bathroom was very spacious and luxurious. There’s no moquette! Everything was super clean and neat. The pool is a nice feature and the spa was much appreciated. There are some restaurants 5 min walking from the hotel, but everything closes around 9 pm and it’s better to make a reservation. Children do not pay a fee. The property was clean and the bed was incredible. The staff were very welcoming at the office and the Saloon. We immediately felt welcome and at home there. Also the pool is excellent! Loved the hot tub. The room was spacious. There were 2 comfortable King beds. tithe furnishings were not modern, but functional. Location is great for Glen Ellen. You can walk to most of the restaurants in the area. Jack London State Park is up the hill. Great location with the Saloon next door for food and Fun! It died when Jack London died! Walls were thin and beds very noisy. No room cleaning. Rooms were a bit dark and need some additional art on the walls to warm them up. Need microwaves. Our upstairs neighbors were a bit loud even after 11pm, but we just put earbuds in to block the footsteps and noise. Older furnishings, no clothes storage, no blackout window coverings. All 3 mornings we were woken up early to the foot stomping on the floor above us. We were in 1 and our friends were in 2. We all had earplugs in and it didn’t help. It sounded like they were going to come thru the roof. Super thin walls. Our last morning the noise started at 4am for our friends and 5:30 for us. Even noisy at midnight. Never stay on a bottom floor if you want to sleep past 5am. I fly for the airlines and have very rarely had this problem. Three mornings in a row. A bit pricey, could use some refresh. And for $250 a night I kinda expected robes and slippers (for going to and from the hot tub) that also was hot, but no bubbles. A small microwave would have been nice. Hard to adjust the room temperature- did not seem like whatever we tried made any difference. Ended up using the ceiling fan and opening the window. This is not a brand spanking new state-of-the-art peppery, but that’s not why you’d come stay here :) It’s exploding with character and charm. The rooms were a bit dated - though clean. The bathroom area and bed furniture was out dated. They could be great with a little upgrade. Also keyless entry should be standard. The staff were alright, there were ants in the bed, cleanliness is not out of the park. Everything was just ok. Napa is definitely overpriced these days. Not a deal breaker just wished the hot tub was open tell 10 pm. The beds are really comfortable. Value for my money? The place is a glorified motel. For $400 a night I had expect a stunning place. It was average. I requested an extra bed for the second night. They charged me $30 more (and only after I personally went to the office... they would not charge me by phone). They did not have the kindness of sending an extra towel. I would not stay there again or recommend it. Not at $800 for two nights. We needed to add a roll in bed for the second night. This was provided for a cost of $30 plus tax. The pool was dirty and the jacuzzi did not work. There was nowhere to ask for an extra towel. But mostly I was unhappy at the ridiculous cost.
