8.0 Very good
Close to everything. Comfortable, clean. The staff was very friendly. Over all it was a nice place to stay. I would recommend it.
L
4.0 Mediocre
The facilities are not only dated (we expected that), but the staff simply isn't trying. I found food under the bed...years of dust bunnies in the corners. The rooms are dark and lack sufficient lighting.

10.0 Wonderful
I went to the Grand Canyon to take pictures, and nothing beats staying within walking distance (even for an old man like me) of the chasm. We stayed in one of the lodge complexes and even had an elk grazing next to our window. If I go back this is the place I'd stay in again.

10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Quiet, in the park super close to the general store, restaurant, and the South Rim. Clean and comfortable. Perfect for what we were looking for in the park.
Cons:Whenever neighboring rooms let their doors slam it literally rattled all the doors making it sound like someone was knocking on our door.
A
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:We loved this bare essentials stay. Grocery store on site, tiny fridge, perfect location.
A
7.7 Good
Pros:Location was excellent. Was great to be right in the national park.
Cons:Beds were not very comfortable. We were in the rooms that had not yet been renovated.
A
5.7 Fair
Pros:Inside the park.
Cons:other people entered our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. This was quite disconcerting and unacceptable. Apparently DNC had double booked the room. They have tried to make up for it, but it should have never happened.
C
5.4 Fair
Pros:Great location.
Cons:Room wasn't ready until several hours AFTER listed check-in time because management had not staffed the cleaning crew properly. Management offered NOTHING to compensate. Food is awful and expensive ($15 for buffet that only featured powdered eggs) We wouldn't stay here again until new ownership/management.
L
9.1 Wonderful
Pros:For a hotel "in the park," it was reasonably priced and very convenient. I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside the room. It was not just "state park" basic, but definitely a step up. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was easy.
Cons:If I had known how nice it would have been to be on the rim, I would have kept trying for a room in one of the hotels there and been willing to pay more for it too.
F
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Great Nature. Great Park. Excellent hikes. Scenic views. Cozy rooms. Wonderful place to spend a weekend getaway from the city and office to natural wonders of the World.
