Location was excellent. Was great to be right in the national park.
Beds were not very comfortable. We were in the rooms that had not yet been renovated.
Our room was double booked
Inside the park.
other people entered our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. This was quite disconcerting and unacceptable. Apparently DNC had double booked the room. They have tried to make up for it, but it should have never happened.
Room wasn't ready until several hours AFTER listed check-in time because management had not staffed the cleaning crew properly. Management offered NOTHING to compensate. Food is awful and expensive ($15 for buffet that only featured powdered eggs) We wouldn't stay here again until new ownership/management.
Great location and easy
For a hotel "in the park," it was reasonably priced and very convenient. I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside the room. It was not just "state park" basic, but definitely a step up. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was easy.
If I had known how nice it would have been to be on the rim, I would have kept trying for a room in one of the hotels there and been willing to pay more for it too.
Wonderful place for Nature Getaway
Great Nature. Great Park. Excellent hikes. Scenic views. Cozy rooms. Wonderful place to spend a weekend getaway from the city and office to natural wonders of the World.

The Yavapai Lodge Restaurant offers Southwestern cuisine in a casual setting, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can grab a cup of coffee, baked goods, or a sandwich at the coffee shop. located in the main lodge. Guests staying at the Lodge are steps away from one of the park's general stores, a bank, and a post office. Camping supplies, groceries, and souvenirs are sold at the general store. Guests will enjoy the accommodations, dining, and convenience of the Yavapai Lodge, but the Lodge's best feature is the natural beauty that surrounds it.
