Clean facilities and friendly staff. Second time visiting - the kitchenette is very helpful. Nice to have balcony and gas fireplace. Comfortable bed. Overall a great place to stay.
Unit was clean nd comfortable but starting to show its age. Wall paper was peelling, stains on ceiling when water leaked
The rooms were really great. There was a full kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, bedroom and patio. It was amazing to have a kitchen with a full set of dining ware, a toaster, microwave, stove burner, blender and coffee pot. The place felt very family friendly. It definitely felt like a ski lodge where families would stay for about a week at a time. All of the decor in the rooms were fall foliage which felt weird staying there in the summer. They have a large selection of dvds at the front desk that you can rent for free and have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
The door to patio to our room was broken. The dvd player wouldn't work and it took forever for us to get it to reopen and spit out the dvd we placed in. They ask you to take all the linens off of the bed and place in the bath tub before checking out, which didn't make sense to us because we took a shower right before we left. It's in the middle of nowhere which is definitely apart of its appeal but there are no gas stations or grocery stores for at least a 15 minute drive.
The mattress was worn and noisy in 107b building 1
Great for families. Love that all rooms include a kitchen. The suite feature (two rooms sort of adjoin) is really convenient as we're always there with multiple families.
Checking in is always painfully slow for some reason.
Shuttle to the ski mountain would be great idea
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the view was breathtaking.
Very comfortable. Good value. We stayed there October 21-24. We would stay there again. The room was furnished nicely. We liked being able to get movies. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice, as well as the lodge area. Beautiful area. We were travelling back and forth to Williamstown, which was within a reasonable driving distance to the college.
We were looking forward to having a fireplace in the room, but it wasn't working properly. Maintenance had to clean creosote off the glass doors so we could view the fireplace. It was really thick and the flame wasn't adjusted properly after that so it didn't look "real." We didn't use it much. They did respond quickly when we called about the creosote issue. There was black on the outside of the unit where the fireplace was, so it kind of felt like it could have been a safety issue as well. The management should monitor the fireplaces.
Location in mountains. Friendly staff. Very clean and well appointed rooms.Warm and cozy fireplace.
Condo did not have a stove or dishwasher.
a large holiday apartments resort , well situated, with fairly attractive outside architecture
Reception was unfriendly and with an atitude of :'Oh shit another client'. Interior design is old and unappealing
I loved the option to bring the family pet, Charlie. Had a great time including him on the hikes and trails.
The "free" breakfast... food not that great and the Sales Pitch was overwhelming!
The location was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accomadating. Our room was very clean and more than sufficient. We had a wonderful time. I would like to have been able to stay longer.
I was unprepared to put down a $150.00 security deposit hold. I was unaware of this stipulation and did not have a credit card with me for the security hold. They did not take cash for the security deposit and by using my debit card it was no longer a hold but the money was withdrawn from my account and will be refunded anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 billing cycles. It would have been much more beneficial to know this ahead of time. If this was stated on the web site it was not very clear.
Spaciousness, cleanliness, facilities and responsive staff were all excellent. Pools, decor, grounds were all better than average and we would stay at this complex again.
It needed bedside phone and extra mirrors (minor changes)
The weather was good and the facilities were also
Parking was inadequate-I stayed in building #13 and whenever there was a function at the main house the overflow parking took our building spots and forced us to park down past the pool
We loved having a fireplace! Usually we stay at a hotel closer to North Adams but found Vacation Village on the website. It was much nicer than the two other hotels we had been using. The price was less, and we had so much room. It was a great experience and I have already let two other couples know about the place.
The sofa bed was absolutely horrible. If we have someone else stay with us we would have to bring an air mattress or get a bigger place.
the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the check-in process was complicated and took a long time (time share) and computers were down, parking was tough to find and chaotic
