Breakfast was great. Hospitality was outstanding. Very clean
Beds were miserable
Friendly, clean, curteous, comfortable.
Clean and well-kept
A little dated.
Had nice experience, hotel reception staff were very polite
This is the way a hotel/motel should be run...
It was clean. Beds were comfortable.
There was some odor in the hall on the 3rd floor. It kind of smelled like old water that had been sitting on carpet.
cleanliness; friendliness; location; super large breakfast options
had to share a kingsized bed; two beds weren't available
Very clean, the staff, and the location. Good coffee.
Very clean. The hall is big, quiet, neat and comfort. Break first is very good according my son's view who is critical.
A little problem of my door, it needs more try to open.
The room was very nice, and the bed was comfortable. The morning breakfast was awesome.
The toilet seat was loose, and slid when you sat down. The fan on the heat mode of the ac/heat system made a loud noise.
Room wasn't very clean and we were forced to take a stale smelling smoking room. I didn't think hotels still had smoking rooms.
A very nice breakfast buffet, and friendly, efficient staff.
The air conditioner in our room was inefficient, wavering between too hot and too cold. We were given a smoking room against our wishes. We were told by hotel staff that Priceline had specifically requested a smoking room for us. (?)
Good location and room was good size. Spray from the shower was the best ever seen while staying in a hotel.
Carpet in room had not bee adequately vacuumed. The bed was uncomfortable and did not feel like it had mattress pad. Room definitely in need of an upgrade. Breakfast typical in hotel like this
This hotel fits the market it is in. It is not great, nor is it poor. It is OK for the price, and gives you a place to lay your head after a day on the lake.
Hotel has the feeling your own mountain lodge. Free use of bicycles, cookies when you check in, and people at the desk who make you feel special. We have a favorite room which we request and generally get which makes us feel right at home. They recently upgraded all of the TVs to Flat Screen, and the beds are very comfortable. What more could you ask?
We stayed at this hotel for a convention, we travel often and have yet to be treated as poorly as we did at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel at about 9pm with reservations made a month in advance for a luxury King Bed room and when we arrived they told us that they had over booked for our type of room and offered us a shoebox room or two queen beds that were hard as rocks. To make matters worse someone else in our party who I had given our reservations to that booked after we did got a luxury king room. Then the hotels staff went in and changed our reservation with Holiday Inn to say we wanted a 2 bed queen room even though we had the print out. Not to mention the dirty bathrooms, wall paper peeling off the walls, the maid leaving a'tip' envelope and a hotel pool that seemed to be lacking chlorine. We checked out a day early. To make it worse we logged the complaint with Holiday Inn and got a rude phone message from the manager telling us how we got up-graded and we didn't have any grounds to complain... This makes me want to write off all Holiday Inns!
They charge a lot more for weekend nights, which is way more than it was worth. The room was large and fairly clean, but not real comfortable. The room had a sitting area with a sofa and small table, but that didn't leave much room for suitcases. I was very surprised that the 2 queen beds didn't have a bedspread! The room had a mini fridge and microwave and there was an indoor pool, but we didn't use these features. The TV had a lot of cable channels. The AC was very loud and was not powerful enough to cool the other side of the room. My biggest complaint was that the bathroom had the shower and vanity area in the same room. This is very annoying for a woman trying to dry hair and apply make-up while someone else is in the shower. Even if you wait until the next person is out of the shower, the room is hot and humid. The hot breakfast was good - the cinnamon rolls were excellent - but the seating area was too small for all the people trying to eat. We sat in the lobby with a plate on our lap.
This motel was very clean. The front desk was friendly and helpful. For the first time ever the maid staff was very friendly. Every other place I have ever stayed, the maids won't even look you in the eye, let alone say hello. The beds are very comfortable with choice of firm or soft pillows.
My newly wed wife and I spent 4 lovely days at this Holiday Inn, it was great. Everything was kept clean and fresh. The staff were very helpful and polite. We are already planning a summer get away to stay at this hotel again. And the location is perfect. It's not that far from anywhere. It's about 17 miles from downtown Helen, Ga. The drive to Helen is great as well. We totally recommend this Holiday Inn.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. It is always clean and the people are always friendly. Will stay again!
