We love Palmera properties. We had a nice room, great breakfast, and everything looked clean. We have one issue that we feel needs to be changed asap- the bathroom door needs to be replaced with a standard door versus a "sliding barn style door." Unfortunately there is a gap so you could see into the shower from outside the bathroom! We stayed at Palmera as a family, parents and teen boys. We had to drape a blanket over the gap to give privacy. 😳 Other than this we loved the place

Pros:Close enough to Parris Island to see our son, a short drive to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable and larger than expected. Nice to have a kitchenette.

Cons:TV broken upstairs. Woke up at 3am by noisy neighbor. Turned on the lights and saw a huge roach run across the bathroom vanity. Could not sleep the rest of the night.

Pros:Kitchenette in room. Nice facility. It's not in a beach and just off of a main road. Not much property but cute pool area with pretty surroundings and easy access via car to all of Hilton Head.

Pros:The guy who covered the front desk in the afternoon was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nice and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were nice. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. It was a good location. Easy drive to beach.
Cons:Only issue was unhelpful and unfriendly woman at desk in the morning.

Pros:Room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice porch area.
Cons:Staff was EXTREMELY unfriendly & unhelpful while we were checking in, check out staff was great. But check in staff acted like we were the last person they wanted to talk to and they had us wait for 15-20 minutes at the unattended counter before anyone even appeared and gave no apology. I also questioned why vehicle information was needed and the answer given was 'because they need it' and I asked again because I don't usually give out license number and car description without a cause and then she rolled her eyes and stated that it was in case of cars loitering, to which I then filled it out after my annoyance level growing even higher towards her. The two boys the next morning were great though, like i said. Very helpful.
