The location of the hotel, just of the ferry to the island. The hot tub was great in the winter morning!
The temperature of the room on arrival, but the room soon heated up once we switched on the heating.
We were given a warm welcome on arrival. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good indeed. Good storage space in the bedroom. Lovely setting overlooking the sea. Breakfast was excellent. I felt that I got much more than what I had expected .... the location is magical.
Very friendly staff, excellent food and scenic surroundings. Facilities are well equiped with helpfull, knowledgable staff. This was a great weekend to relax from a usual hectic lifestyle.
The only thing that I didnt like about this hotel was I had to go home. another night would have been perfect!
Hardly nothing. The spa maybe which was more or less decent.
- staff: very cold, aggresive tune, give you the impression you are "disturbing" them. not very helpful. The restaurant, or should I say hospital cafeteria? (waiters not careful with plates, cleaning with horrible spray the table next to yours, making noise... a pity for such a well located restaurant. Dishes very regular (horrible cesar salad that i couldn't even finish, self service bar...yeh, definitely the hospital cafeteria) -- Spa: incomplete (jacuzzy wouldn't work well (streams, programmes), feet sauna out of service, early closure of the spa (7.30pm)-- Bedroom cleanliness (toilet wouldn't flush, just the bed would be made, they wouldn't bother about the tables and worse, the bathroom (old dry condom found next to the toilet seat).
Breakfast very good,staff pleasant.
No lift.no porterage.
Fantastic location with beautiful outlook. Quality of food and service in resturant was really high - it really is right up there with the best we have experienced!
Thought the hotel could do with a little bit of a face-lift. Room was clean but lacked real quality.
Good food, excellent Spa facilities great location
Cramped room, no lift to other floors, lack of information on hotel procedures and facilities
Comfortable room and surroundings
My friend is poor on her feet and the walk to the rooms via several flights of stairs was a little difficult.
short walk to ferry. Lovely view of bay. Tasty breakfast included in rate.
Room was not clean. Our bed had food remains, general dirt, stains, and prior guests' body hair in it. Our room door would not close or lock. We were not allowed to change rooms after requesting to do so, we used a chair to keep the door closed. In speaking with other guests, our room problems were not uncommon. Other guests had no hot water in their bathrooms and reported mold problems as well as falling tiles in the bath. Also hotel is 40 minutes away from the major city of the isle and the taxi rate is ~50 pounds one way. It was about a 15 minute walk to the only pub in town that had limited food serving hours.
