It's close to the airport and I liked the waffles at breakfast.
My room was on the first floor and I could hear the piano playing. I called at 11 p.m. to see if the staff could stop the music. My room had a dirty towel in it, a main lamp didn't work, the other lamp buzzed. Surfaces in room and rug were dirty. This hotel is close to JFK and the lobby is nice. If you can get a room that's not on the first floor and clean, it would probably be a very nice stay. The room felt like it could have used an overall cleaning. Maids need to really check the bathrooms, towels for cleanliness. Also, lamp bulbs should be checked and changed if necessary and it would be nice if they would scrub down surfaces. Overall though, for the price, it was worth it.
Room was very nice.
There was not designated parking spots or garage. Clerk told me I could park the car across the street. The next day my car had a ticket on it.
I liked the temperature of the room. The shower wasn't too bad.
I hated the fact that the door in the back of the hotel, which was placed a few feet away from my room, slammed shut and sounded like a gunshot each time. It woke me up at about 8 AM and slammed about 15 times until 9 AM on Sunday morning.Decent room. Breakfast is basically a snack. Don't get a room near the back door on the first floor.
Great area considering the general location of the hotel. Staff was friendly and breakfast was standard continental but did the job. Enjoyed my stay. This will definitely be my go to hotel when I'm in the area.
Cleanliness lacking slightly but nothing that raised health concerns. The Garden Inn is located in a fairly wuiet, generally safe area. I had no problems or concerns walking to and from the hotel. There is only on street parking however which may be a turn off for some guests. The room was a good size for a one night stay. If there's two people staying and you just need a place to sleep and shower this place will work. Shower was hot, breakfast was edible. The front desk staff was accommodating and friends dly.
The breakfast menu had a pretty good variety.
The carpet was dirty, the bed was either full or a very small queen. The bathroom needs to be remodeled. The water was extremely hot and could not be regulated. The TV was out dated and took time to even heat up. Handicap accesible room. The room that was offered was handicap accessible. Which meant that it was on the first floor with all the noise from people coming and going. The housekeeper was knocking on doors at 7am on a Saturday morning to see if guest had left. Annoying. The breakfast however was good.
Nice lobby with piano.
Booked king bed and got full size. Had no housekeeping so trash over flowed. Had to call desk for fresh towels
Staff are the worstThe phone was not working in the room(they can't hear you when you call them so there were no services at all) Fire alarm all the day and while you sleep. Worst hotel ever
Clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located if you are traveling to/from JFK airport. Free airport shuttle leaves every 30 minutes and takes 10 minutes.
small rooms, no hot water mostly, non cooperative staff ME AND MY FAMILY STUCK UP INSIDE THE ELEVATOR FOR ALMOST FIVE MINUTES - TERRIFIED EXPERIENCE
The room was a pretty decent size; FREE continental breakfast was decent. This wasn't a 5 star hotel but we were pretty please with it.
Parking on the street as the lot seemed confusing if there was a lot to park in (saw a locked lot but couldn't tell if it was for staff or guests)
