We had a very good price-offer so it was perfect, we had a little studio close by the sea and Jelsa is lovely a perfect place to stay!! the hotel is not really special, but it was comfortable and if you don´t need anything luxery it is perfect, next to the little village and the beaches.
The accommodation was good for the price and was well situated very close to the sea.
Lots of steps to get to accommodation - not suitable for anybody in a wheelchair or elderly. Map to find accommodation could have been a bit clearer, especially as we arrived at 1am and it took us approx 20-25 minutes to find our chalet/room. More sun loungers required around the pool area.
excellent location, great views, spacious apartment
breakfast - 8 euros per person, I would say 'very modest, if not poor breakfast', guests are left on their own upon arrival to search for their apartment and carry their bags, no car access allowed - no paid neither free service offered to help upon arrival with the luggage , not even a luggage cart
Our apartment was specious and very comfortable...we were very happy with it. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the sea and not far from a romantic town of Jelsa. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Very simple breakfast, the same bread and chease every day, I lacked fruit and better jogurt selection. The restaurant would need renovation and more baby chairs (they had only 2). As well the staff should clean baby chairs time-to-time.
The Fontana is rebadged now as the Adriatiq Resort and actually consists of 3 separate hotels that are now under one management. We stopped in what used to be Hotel Jadran, nearest the town (3 minutes to the harbour) - the Jadran looks like a communist-era housing block so didn't look promising but the room was fine if a little worn. No air conditioning though (fan provided). Breakfast OK but uninspiring. Got bitten a lot (not sure if because of the many trees around the site). Reception very badly signed - just keep going up the hill to the road at the top.
Jelsa town - beautiful, lots of lovely restaurants and very picturesque.
A massive disappointment this resort - room was dark and dingy, no light in the main room, knobs on cooker missing, no kettle, parasol broke. Round the pool (salt water pool), beds broke, parasols broke, and loose tiles making it dangerous for children. I did complain about the standard of the room, but noone came back to me. I would go to Hvar again, but not to this resort.
swimming in the Adriatic, pilates class, proximity to town & transportation by boat
The new rooms and the short distance to Jelsa.
We had one very old and dirty room the first night, wich didn´t represent the rooms from the webside. The new room we got instead was good. We can´t recommend the old rooms!
the view and access to the swimming
the rooms were in need of modernisation
The staff were nice
The room was horrible, very small, ants in the bed, terrible catering facilities, paint falling off the walls and doors. We stayed one night and cancelled the last 4 nights and got a place in Hvar (much nicer town) for less than half the price. **Do not stay here***
