Khaolak Merlin Resort

The resort enjoys a superb location, allowing guests easy access to a range of popular attractions. Khao Lak Beach and Bang Niang Beach are easily reached by car.

This resort is much bigger than we expected, with lots of different pool options. We found a quiet pool that not many other guests visited, but there were also busier areas and a kids water slide and pool bar.

Specializing in international, vegetarian and Asian dishes, the resort's on-site restaurant offers a range of satisfying meals for guests to sample. The in-house bar is a relaxing setting for an evening drink.

Room was very noisy, far too much noise throughout the night from guests and staff. Amenities in room weren't kept on top of & limited water.

What makes this resort unique is that no old trees were cut down to build it. Hence, you have the impression you are staying in a nature park. The hotel deserves a high score on environmental standards.

Several guests mentioned that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Opting for a room with a balcony facing the fountain comes highly recommended.

Guests with mobility issues should be aware that the hotel and grounds are on a steep hill, mainly served by steps and extremely steep ramps, and there is no lift available.

Guests found plenty of good local village restaurants less than 5 minutes' walk away, offering a variety of dining options and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Some guests found that rooms far from the beach were not ideal, so it's advisable to inquire about room location and proximity to the beach before booking.

Families can enjoy various activities such as nature walks, paddle boarding, and crafts, as well as a kids club and a kids pool at the resort.
