My flight didn't leave until 10:30pm I was only able to extend my checkout until noon.
The aloha of the staff was the best we've ever experienced anywhere. Our housekeeper Delilah was the most friendly, accommodating and welcoming person I think we've ever met. She really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. We'd go back just for her. Overall, the grounds are very clean as are the rooms. The place is a tad dated but well cared for. Our room had an outstanding view in bldg 1. On site restaurants were good but pricey. We opted to drive offsite nearly every night for more reasonable fare. The locations is prime. Great beach, nice pool, and very close to retail shops and very good restaurants.
Our laundry facilities were in bldg 2 on the other side of the grounds. It would be nice to facilities in each bldg. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were terrible. Down and foam filled were the only two options - both of which tend to flatten out to nothing which offers zero support for your head and neck.
The location was convenient to where I needed to be. The staff was friendly.
The building I stayed in was quite far from the main desk area and the valet car pick up area.
We spent one night and two days on Kauai while visiting family on Oahu. The Sheraton was perfect for this. We were able to check in early and to check out late, making the most of our little time on the island. The room was clean, bed super comfortable and the staff were all helpful and friendly.
Like most resorts, most things on the grounds were pretty expensive.
Location is good: right on the water, with sunset views. This is the only good thing about this hotel.
Room was outdated, and tiny. Beds were saggy and uncomfortable. The tiles around the pool were broken or missing. We ordered a couples massage and found out the day before they don't even have a spa on-site, they farm it out to the Wyndham down the road. $30 resort fee per day that they didn't tell us about ahead of time. Although we of course didn't let it ruin our time (we were in kauai afterall!), this hotel was incredibly disappointing.
Beautiful beach and pool. Near to several great restaurants. Good access to all water activities and sights.
