The room facilities are poor, the staff does not speak english, the breakfast is very poor (for an extra pack of marmelade they asked 10 baht..) and the location is too far from the centre. Also the hotel is overpriced.
Soo many stairs to get there...
The swimming pool was good. The rest it was ok... I think the service could be better and should have free internet for the host.
The hotel is a little bit far away from the main city. There are a lot of hotel in the main street and probably better than this one. Once you go back to hotel at night you will feel tired to go out again but if you are young its ok. We didn´t have any problem walking but since we walked all day long it s hard to go up to the mountain where the hotel is.
The staff was really really nice and very helpful in anything you need. The hotel is clean and basic facilities are good. Mainly suitable for backpackers or people that want an low rate and adventurous experience (including close contact with animals of all sorts). You should choose it is your main decision criteria is the price, and you do not mind the good 10 minutes walk to town with no lights.
The location is honestly not ideal. Possibly the very top rooms have a glimpse of view on the ocean, otherwise the hotel has direct view of a fresh water reservoir, which is cradle for all sorts of animals. We were there during the wet season and every night we had to come back to the hotel from the centre dodging all sorts of animals on the road all the way home: millions of frogs and other amphibians of all sorts were literally paving the way to the hotel, not to my delight. The bathroom was pretty weird having a sort of shapeless cement built in it, which made it seem pretty unhygienic. We even had a monkey trying to get into the room..
