I reserved the hotel about a month prior to our arrival, and it proved to be everything it said it would be
This is a large property in La Fortuna, all rooms face volcano, it has nice pools, all different temperatures. Not as private-isolated-romantic as other spots, more suitable for groups of friends or large families.
This hotel was in a great location with perfect views of the volcano if the weather permits. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most importantly there was a screen door off the balcony (alot of hotels in CR don't have screens on windows/doors). The pool complex was nice because the hotel was at half it's capacity. Overall however there were plenty of hot springs to choose from and the swim up bar was convienent! Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends and may even be back myself someday.
Stayed at this hotel for the 4th time and just love it. Location is perfect and rooms are just top notch. Totally recommend this hotel. You'll like it.
The Royal Corin is a very very good hotel. We stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The rooms - we had junior suites - were very spacious and comfortable. The spa-tubs with views of Arenal Volcano were truly a genius touch! The decor was modern and crisp; the beds comfortable and generally everything was clean (though not spotless). Our rooms had a large balcony each and we spent a lot of time out there gazing at the volcano and starts. The bars and restaurant were excellent too. The roof top bar was very well appointed and modern-chic. The bar man there was very attentive, friendly and a delight. Happy hour is well worth it - we were able to partake while watching the sun set!. The pools - hot springs - were excellent. Different tubs and pools at varying temperatures to cater to all needs. After a day of walking/hiking/horse-riding (all of which we did - though not on the same day) a soak in a hot tub and a 'wallow' in the large warm pool - at the swim up bar - was the perfect end to the day. The bar staff, again, were very friendly (though a little stretched when it got a little busy). The snacks are great too - try the seafood ceviche - really good!. The hotel restaurant served up a very good buffet breakfast - lots of variety, great quality and excellent service. Best breakfasts on the trip!. We enjoyed our one dinner at the restaurant - the food was very well prepared and plentiful. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The hotel reception staff also proved to be very good - a little remote when we checked in, but warmed up to us during our stay. We had requested adjoining rooms but were given rooms on different floors. This was because a large group was coming in a couple of days later and they had been assigned the bulk of the rooms. This would be the one disappointing note: the hotel were fawning over the group - preferential seating at breakfast (the outdoor terrace was closed to the other guests) and room alloc...
This place was great. Five star all the way. We only stayed one night but the next time will stay three nights.
