we appreciated the overall atmosphere, things to do besides gamble... we played bingo with the "electronic"boards for the first time and it was fun... when we arrived home we realized we had left some "laundry" in a drawer in the room (516)... our son was able to pick it up before he left on Sunday (he was also a guest as well on Friday night). We have stayed here before over the years with our kids and mother. The bowling alley was nice, and the movie theater and pool when it is hot out. The last time we stayed here, in Jan of 2012 ,(my birthday is Jan 6th) we reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds, and my husband and I were upgraded to a suite, with a "walk-in bathtub"... this time we were upgraded to a king room, but it was not as large as last time, but it was nice. The price was reasonable back then. This time the price was very high....
The price of the room... in the past we have stayed here as a family friendly choice..and the price was good. I did book the room in Dec, as I had to wait to find out what vacation days I could use in Jan... (my birthday is Jan 6th) I would have booked sooner, but did not have a choice.
Our first stay at Sam' S Town was a very good experience. The atmosphere of friendliness, comfortable surrounding and the family oriented setting will bring us back to this hotel.
The bowling alley is great. Very big and affordable. The hotel room was also larger than normal. Friendly and helpful staff. Above average buffet. Shower felt great.
Pretty seedy place. The demographics were mostly of the local gambling addicts around age 50+. Saw several prostitutes. One time when we were going to our room there was a group of black men hiding in the hall under the security camera, obviously waiting for their girl to get done hoeing. The slot machines were 99% OLD machines.
Food options and value at restaurants and friendly staff,
They tried to put me in a double smoking room even though they confirmed via email, the day of check in, double non-smoking would be ready by 3pm. The email also acknowledged my late check in. I had to ask for a supervisor who then upgraded us to a non-smoking, double. The bed's were not very comfortable. The rate was very good so overall it was a good value. Sam's wouldn't be my first choice in the future.
No coffee in the room, no mini-fridge in the room, and couldn't find an ice machine. Also, the caino prominently advertises $3 blackjack tables but I didn't see one the entire time I was there.
This is easily the best value in Las Vegas. A first rate room for a Great rate (Sun-Thurs); very clean, very friendly staff, and so much to do in one location with all the restaurants, movie theaters, and the 50+ lane bowling alley. We played poker multiple times in the non-smoking poker room and all the dealers were both professional and very friendly. It's also nice to have both sub-five dollar Craps and Black Jack tables as options. The casino is well run and very free with their drinks; we were always served in a reasonable amount of time, and a number of times even while we were standing around trying to decide what game to play. We took the free shuttle offered by Sam's Town over to the strip to catch the Beatles Love show (excellent, we would recommend it highly) as well as the return trip and it was very comfortable and easy. We'll definitely go back to Sam's Town and avoid the over-priced everything on the strip!
Non Kayak guests seemed to get a value book full of coupons.
although the price was on the cheaper side: Pool was great, clean and well kept Room was nice and clean Stuff was very friendly and helpful the whole facility was well kept and clean great restaurants with great food for reasonable prices
The person at the desk who checked us in was fantastic. I wish I could remember his name.
I enjoyed the wide range of amenities and excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back and enjoyed my stay
Hotel smelled and felt old and run down. Seemed just adequate.
The room was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. Requested more pillows and they were delivered quickly. would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The area is so hard to drive around, too much traffic.
Love the scenery and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had a guest in my room and while we were talking Security knocked on the door AND told me there was a noise complaint. So I guess the walls are very thin because we were not loud at all just chit cjatting . also the ice machine on the 9th and 8th floor were out if service so traveling 2 floors down to get ice was not fun.
its for really adult people 50 plus
Too much smoke and limited access to stairs
Parking is a long way to walk from the hotel
Room was very nice, the bed was comfortable.
Couldn't win a penny. Staff was not particularly helpful or friendly.
Contacted Sams Town 1 week in advance to confirm non-smoking room reservation and notify staff we would be checking in between 10pm-midnight on arrival date. Arrived @ 10pm only to find they had no non-smoking rooms available. Staff acknowledged mistake but did nothing to resolve the situation. Upon checkout we were charged a $14.55 per day hotel fee (on top of the standard room charges that were paid when the reservation was made). In Sams Towns defense, they did offer us another room, but not until 5:30pm the evening before we checked out. We were on our way out the door for the evening and did not want to pack up everything to move for one night.
I was at Sam's Town for a wedding. Enjoyed interacting with friends and family, a relaxing atmosphere at Sam's Town.
The King size bed mattress was worn out, it should be replaced. Did not sleep well on it.
Air conditioners didn't work smoke detector falling off the wall TV stand broken Bed needs to be updated
Front desk worker at check in was pleasant,
Smoking was very offensive. Just walking through the casino made my clothes smell bad. Buffet for breakfast had poor quality food.
The serves was terable. Gambled all night and never had a any part of the wait staff notice my wife or me. When we were finally offered a drink at 3 am (after be being there 4 hours) the lady never returned with or drinks. I spent over a 1000 dollars in this establishment I would expect something to drink. This was my birthday weekend and was planing to celebrate.
