The JW Marriott is within the L.A. Live entertainment complex, located off the Santa Monica and Harbor freeways and across the street from Olympic/Georgia subway station. L.A. Live hosts events, concerts and festivals, with several nightlife spots and restaurants alongside bigger venues. The Staples Center, home to the LA Clippers, Lakers and Kings, is also part of the complex. The GRAMMY Museum is a must for music fans, while families will enjoy the Regal Cinemas.
The location was convenient to the end purpose of our stay.
The staff were poorly trained. We didn't deal with one person who seemed to even act like they cared we were. We travel a lot, and the way the staff behaved put them in the bottom 25% for customer service skills.
Everything is GREAT! Except parking expenses in the area. Try not to drive if possible. Brian
While the staff was outstanding, the peace and quite was priceless, especially with the chaos of LA Live!
The mattress was a little firm for my liking, but the bedding was exceptional!
Clean, modern, friendly staff (at least the ones I had contact with). Convenient location for LA Live events obviously, which was our reason for staying here.
A bit overpriced if you ask me. The parking is absolutely ridiculous!!! $42 a night! I've paid less for rooms! For the price you pay to stay here parking should be free or at best a minimum fee for guests since there are no alternative parking areas. Room service, way overpriced as usual but the added fees and taxes are ridiculous and the food is just ok.
Staff at check excellent. Location next to Staples Center. One block from the 'Pantry' historic diner.
Ordered lamb meatballs at the bar and they were barely warm. TV in room has mostly grainy low definition channels. Scanning room key in elevator to access floor worked after the third attempt. I won't stay here again. Expected more from this brand.
The room was nice and bed was comfortable.
The parking is such a rip off. For $42 I almost wanted to go and sleep in my car.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. It is a very nice hotel, and we had a lovely stay. Met all of our needs
The staff at the pool were a bit rude and not attentive. Took about 45 minutes to get our drink and food after we ordered it, and no apologies were given.
Have previously stayed at the Marriot in South America and the UK and have come to appreciate the attention they pay to detail. Sheets are are crisp, fresh and clean changed everyday.
The breakfst was rather poor and lacked choices. Apart from the eggs it was potatoes, only crsipy bacon and sausauge. That's it nothing else no mushrooms, a bit of cheese like we are used to in SA.
