The staff. They are responsive and aim to have happy guests. It's clean. I am not picky, but very price conscious; the main thing I look for in a 2 star is cleanliness. My room was clean upon arrival, and it was cleaned every day.
I did not like the smell when I first arrived, though soon I did not notice. My last night the guests above me were loud. I told the gentleman at the desk and he called their room to ask that they be quiet. This is a quaint family run hotel on Franklin Ave, parallel to Hollywood blvd, two streets over. If you're in the market for a two star hotel you will not beat this place. It was worth every bit of $xxx/night. I would stay there again.
Location & price
Out dated but cleanIn heart of Hollywood and within walking distance of area attractions.
There's nothing to like!
The parking lot was a block away from the hotel, yes, its actually outside the hotel. It was noisy and the receptionist can't barely speak English. Its a small bedroom not good for people who are claustrophobic.
Location, parking is only a block away which is good bc this area is hard to park
Deco on room can be improve even if they are small.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Parking was good especially in LA where parking is a challenge. The room was generous in size and included a refrigerator which was appreciated. The bed was very comfortable which was such a relief. Highly recommend!I will definately stay there again. The staff was great and the bed was so comfortable.
The location was within walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard.
We booked a two bedroom apartment with fridge & coffee machine. ----we got 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom in one room was a fridge with a coffee machine on top. The rooms were not big enough for both couples to sit and relax at the end of the day.Hotel grows on you. All in all we had a good stay and Devant could not do enough for us. Close to shops to buy breakfast, lunch & dinner as you did not have enough room to make anything. But if you are there to see Hollywood and going out all day -- it was a great place to sleep. Bed was super comfortable and the hotel very quiet--no noisy guests, no kids running down hall ways or guests slamming doors in the middle of the night, fresh towels everyday.
very clean, good location, less expensive than the main hotel for my event
Noisy (within the hotel; noise from the street was acceptable).Quite clean. Just a room with a bed, not a place to receive colleagues. Has wifi, works ok. Has a TV, not many channels, but I wasn't there for that. Switched from first floor (loud footsteps above) to second floor - much better, until a guy next door started yacking - walls are thin. They turned the water off to do repairs just as I was dressing for a meeting - turned it back on when I appealed to them - but just cold water, so no shower for me! Very nice cafe just up the street, 'Solar', at Franklin & Cahuenga. Has wifi. A 10-minute walk from Hollywood Blvd. I gave 'public spaces' a '1' just because they don't have any. Just a small lobby. So, really not applicable. OK for a short trip if you don't plan to spend much time in the room. A money-saver for a business or conference trip. Perfectly ok & well...
It's location, close to Hollywood and the Hills.
It's not very nice, it has everything you need, but nothing that goes above and beyond. Not something I'd recommend unless they need something on the cheaper side.
