The facility is fine. Reasonably new and at one time would have been considered upscale.
The staff was by far the worst. Dishes remained in the hall from other rooms. They never serviced the room for overnight and when I went to talk to the cleaning staff they did not speak English. People in general were grumpy. It was a weekend and I do not generally travel on weekends. So maybe they just don't like working weekends.
The people who work there were so rude to the customers. Cleaning service was so bad. I asked them to clean our room when i was out for touring, but when i came back, they PRETENDED like they cleaned the room but saw dirty stuff everywhere and, very rude to the customers. I would not recommend the hotel for whoever wants to go to New Orleans.
No sound insulation whatsoever. Noisiest room I have ever stayed in. No amenities, not a bottle of water or a cup of coffee in the lobby at these prices? Ridiculous. We were put in a handicapped accessible room without being told. So we had the tub with hand held shower and a single sink etc. just an overall cheap experience. Not up to Marriott hotel standards.
Staff was really welcoming, complimentary parking was a plus!! Complimentary breakfast AND lunch!!
The hotel decor was awesome. You got a luxury feel, for non luxury price!!
The hotel was out of King rooms. And since our room was either king or double, we were stuck with a double. My wife and I just pushed the beds together. We made the best out of the situation!!
The room was clean and comfortable.
We checked in at 4pm and 1 of our room was not ready. The staff informed she can get us another room but it will not have a double bed. We did not want to wait 1-2 hours so we agreed. Not once through that whole conversation did we get an apology for the inconvinience. The staff informed us the room was paid through booking.com and requested a credit card for incidentals. However, the card was charged at the end of the stay and a different staff informed us booking.com did not charged us initially. We had to get the payment switched to the card we initially thought was charged on booking.com Also, we had to get a pass every single day to use the fitness and pool.
