Pros:This place is located about two blocks from Socalo plaza. Rooms and shower area were both clean. If I ever travel here again I will probably stay here again.
Cons:I would’ve preferred a bottom bunk but next time I’ll ask.
Pros:clean! very nice staff. other travelers were polite in a hostel setting. nice that there are single room, 4 bed room and 6 bed room options.
Cons:check in was slightly confusing but easy enough to find. included breakfast was light but satisfying.
Pros:The hostel's location is its best attribute, since you are 2 blocks away from El Zocalo, and you are surrounded by food places, shops, museums, and other historical sites. The building itself where the Hostel is located is impressive, from the moment you enter and see all the shops and restaurants within the building, you feel overwhelmed by its beauty. It has a modern- colonial vibe that I have not seen in any other hotel. The bed was good, and my sheets were changed (upon request) promptly. Value for money this hostel is great.
Cons:I thought that the hotel had no ambiance, and I think that this is mainly because the only place that you can literally get Wi-Fi is the patio/bar area, therefore, the spot that should be used for socializing and getting to know everyone is used by all guests to use their computer/phones. The hotel staff is a bit snobby, with the exception of some of the female staff. The "all black" uniform that staff members use makes you doubt whether you are talking to the concierge or a security agent. Other areas of development include better ventilation for single rooms, and more information of tours and amenities for tourists.
