The room was nice enough, clean, fridge and microwave
The woman at the front desk was extremely rude, not one person there was at all pleasant. I went to check in and she said 'you live close by, why are you staying here for 4 days?' With a presumptuous attitude I was pretty mad.It was ok, the hotel is out dated, the rooms are nice enough, staff was rude over priced. I stayed at a resort and spa about 15 min away that was gorgeous and about $10 more per night
The service from the pub was not acceptable. They forgot to bring items that were ordered and the food was cold.
Comfy place to stay the night, room was clean. Had a patio space to step out onto.
The location despite being near the malls is no where near downtown. You will need to drive or take public transit if you plan to go downtown. The patio didn't have a screen. It was an ok hotel. Nothing bad to say about it from a Cleanliness / Room amentities perspective. It served it's purposes as a place to stay the night. Liquor store next door, Grocery store across the street. If you are planning on sight-seeing on foot I would suggest the other Best Western downtown. If you need a place to sleep or are planning on shopping and driving downtown it's perfect for that. Overall the room is updated, I would suggest that the Patio doors at the least put a screen on them and maybe put some better chair(s) out there (ours had a cheap plastic one that looked too flimsy to attempt to sit on). It's also right next to the main highway in Nanaimo so if ...
Self serve waffle machine at the complimentary breakfast.
Kind of in the middle of no where. Not close to the ferries. It was a great stay. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Not super updated, but that's fine. Not enough parking, but concierge said we could park in the strip mall next to the hotel. And the breakfast was fantastic - staff was super friendly, there was lots of selection, and fresh waffles.
Close to shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable and clean.Hotel was clean and had all amenities I needed. Continental breakfast was a great addition. Beds were very comfortable and furniture looked great. Microwave and fridge were a great addition as well. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay here again. Close to shopping and restaurants good location in Nanaimo.
We got a room with a balcony. The breakfast is with cleaning service coming to your table. Friendly staff
Clean, large room with a kitchenette.
Location was farther than we thought from downtown.About what you can expect from a hotel in a suburban area. It was clean and the staff were helpful. Getting a good price bidding always makes it a better hotel then paying full price. But it was satisfactory and I would stay again. Breakfast was a really nice addition! The waffles were great and the young girl stocking breakfast was especially helpful.
Front desk staff were very friendly as well as cleaning and breakfast staff.
Dated. Has an odd smell. Did not have as many breakfast options compared to other Best Western hotels. We stayed at this hotel as a place to rest our heads for one night before continuing on our trip. It was ok for one night but no longer. Very dated hotel and rooms. Very old smelling. The beds and pillows etc were fine though. The balconywas a bit scary though as it had a very spongy feel to it, so my husband who builds houses and knows construction, recommended we stay off! I would have rated this hotel as a 1 to possibly 2 star.
the room smelled of mold and the AC was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep and sweat it out, the staff did nothing about it.worst hotel I have ever stayed at
