I like the staff and the location and restaurant. The rooms are a good size with no real frills. I have stayed here 3 times and I think it is a good value for the price you pay.
The concierge was not very helpful and in fact he was unhelpful as he gave me bad information about dress code for a restaurant and he really doesn't seem to enjoy his job like he should. It is a busy hotel so it can take a while to get a response from the front desk.
Room was clean
Desk personnel rude and not helpful, even lying to guests to avoid helping. Manager avoids guest interaction. Hotel services poor including internet unusable, misquoting tour packages forcing added charges, and no responses to questions and lies from front desk personnel to avoid resolving issues.
Friendly staff, clean rooms. Decent price if you wanna be right in the middle of all the fun.
If you happen to rent a car be forwarded there is no where to park your car except for their valet parking which runs about $40 a night! This goes for any hotel on Canal street so just keep that in mind.
The staff was very helpful, the room was neat and the location was in the middle of it all. Good rate for the location and amenities. I would definitely stay here again.
Housekeeping woke us knocking despite having the "do not disturb" sign on the door.
The hotel is at the corner of Bourbon & Canal, so you have everything right in front of you. The room was clean and comfortable.
We heard a bit of noise in our room, so I don't know if some renovations were going on or what. Also, parking is $40/night and you can't walk to your car. The lower cost of the hotel is ruined by the parking fees. Next time we stay here, we'll be looking at alternative parking options.
Maintenance is very poor. Much of the exercise equipment in the weight room don't even function. Bathroom fixtures poorly maintained
Our stay was very well. We would like to stay in Crown Plaza Hotel again... right there at Bourbon street. The valet parking was good.
Good food and good location. Room was nice but bathroom needed a little maintenance.
Pricing was high for room service. Example $20.00 they add 20% and $5.20 delivery charge...that's nuts. I made a mistake on my arrival needed a room first night. They claimed they didn't have a room. I stayed at the Ritz. I went to check into Crown the next day 8:30 am they gave me my key...that meant they had a room. Cost me $400.00 added to my business trip. Registration staff were rude...overall nice stay and would stay there again right at Bourbon street. Hotel four stars staff overall two stars.

assigned a room that has not been cleaned. The new room had stain spots on carpet, dirty bathroom sink. It was not 4 star quality. The hotel presented like a 3 star facility
We expected better customer service. Check in staff, bell hops, valet, and security were all rude and acted like doing their job was inconveniencing them. The bed was horribly uncomfortable as well.
Basically everything. From the start, the attitudes from the staff set the mood for the trip.
The staff was very pleasant. Everyone we came in contact with had a smile and wanted to help.
The bar area is a little plain and closes early, 11pm. Obviously they're competing with others in the area but their bar area could use updating.

We could not bring our cooler into the hotel.and there was no refrigerator provided to keep our drinks and meds cold.
Checked in at midnight and room wasn't ready. Room had hairs from previous tenant still in bathroom. Was told would be given breakfast coupons for inconvienence. Then told out of coupons. But don't worry breakfast will be covered. Ordered room service for breakfast. Took bill to front desk and told we used wrong restaurant and not covered. Finally took off of bill but place is poorly run and feels seedy and dirty upon arrival.
Only problem I had, and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the Wi-Fi was not free. Otherwise, great place
The bullshit with the parking!! And why do you charge $19 for wifi? I didn't pay it, but I'm sure some idiots do!

We stayed at Crown Plaza during New Years and the Suger Bowl game. Crown Plaza would not unlock the balcony doors over Bourbon Street for their guests. VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!! I rented 2 rooms for my family. We were unable to stay the last night because my daughter was sick and KAYAK would not refund my money. Over $600!!!! Will not use KAYAK again!!!
Sink evidently backed up with copious amounts of "black sludge". 2 calls to the front desk never produced a maintenance worker. We used the tub for normal sink activities. Not what you expect anywhere, much less a luxury hotel
We had a view of Canal Street.
We did not get all the information needed for check in, I.e. deposit was needed. Room was dirty (sock in the corner).

Front office staff was rude, never smiled and seemed bothered by any question. Bell hops and valet guys were friendly and helpful!
Awesome location. Easy access. Right on Bourbon Street. Easy come and go. Safe location, walking distance to all French Quarter. No rental car needed.
I don't like firm beds, the beds were like sleeping on wood planks. The thermostat didn't really function, the room stayed in the mid 60s which was better than having the heater not shut off.
Room was a good size, location was perfect.
Our room had a stale, musty odor from the minute we walked in. Also, service was very slow - called for extra towels one morning and had to call back after a half hour because none had been delivered.
Checkin wasn't until 4pm with a 11am checkout! Only a conference hotel.
Non-smoking room, smelled like smoke. AC didn't work. Staff was not friendly. Bed was uncomfortable.

I mistakenly reserved a room for the incorrect date l, late on Wednesday night. When I saw the email confirmation the next morning I tried to cancel and the Astor crown said no and kept my money. I tried to cancel within a few hours of placing the reservation. Ridiculous
