Pool was nice, cool setting on the top floor. Close to major attractions, not a bad price for Manhattan.
No coffee maker in the room, cold showers both days, rude pool staff.
10 min. walk to Times Square Great surrounding restaurants Affordable parking
I originally asked for a room with a king bed as it was just myself and the upgrade was pretty expensive considering the room would have stayed unoccupied. Room also significantly smelled of new paint which was not remedied.
Everything about our time here was excellent and we stayed here for 2 weeks. Would definitely come back again and would really recommend this hotel.
There wasn't anything we didn't like
Our stay was during one of the busier weekends, when the Pope, Beyonce, and everyone but their mother decided to go to NYC. Needless to say, there were few options that fit our budget and our requirements. We booked the hotel because of location, price and overall comments from other reviewers. First off, we loved the location! Situated right in the center of Hell's Kitchen, the nearby restaurants were incredible and it was easy access to go anywhere in NYC. We also liked the room itself. It was a decent size, with two twin beds that were more like full-sized than college comfort, it was clean, and it was quiet.
I didn't like filling out a form online for early check-in, just to arrive and find out we need to wander the streets for an hour because they didn't have a room for us until 1 pm. I also didn't like the option of choosing a room with a view only to have our window facing a wall. Finally, for a name like Skyline hotel, it gives off a false hope that it's taller than five floors. Motel, maybe. And certainly not valued at $300 a night. But for our one-night stay outside of the room, it had a clean bed, a big room, and the added comfort of a great location.
Location is great, just 2 blocks from metro station, bed and furniture was ok, staff polite
Restaurant charged me about $25 for a normal breakfast, food somewhere else
Bed was ok. It was clean . Location was not bad.
Bathroom very small . Once the housekeeping open the without noticing. I notice the hotel had a restaurant 2 days after. No breakfast included.
Short walk to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Left car in garage for ONLY $10/day. Staff was very friendly .
No coffee I room but made me venture out early in AM, so not a deal breaker.
The hotel is in a great location and is small with only 5 floors but very nice and clean. I would recommend staying here and would totally come again.
It was clean staff were friendly good location price was good
Wanted breakfast Danishes
very close to times square
Close to Times Square. Connected to a restaurant.
No wifi! Refrigerator didn't work. Loud construction across the hall going on all day, everyday.
Great location and affordable
Freezing in room temperature outside was 42 degrees cold air was blowing
The hotel was small in size and in a great location.
Our first room which was located next to the elevator shaft had a problem with a small rodent. Droppings were found on the dresser in the morning. On a positive note, once this was presented to management they changed our rooms immediately and we did not have any further problems. Outside on 10th Ave. they were renovating water pipes under the road. It is likely that this structural renovation disrupted the rodent ecosystem.
Great staff! Very helpful
I didn't like the smell of mildew in the room. I think it came from the bathroom. It was quite strong. Also the air conditioning wasn't working well and the room was stuffy. Still had a good experience.
NO AIR CONDITIONING
Clean, convenient location, refrig in room.
Lights burned out. Called 3 times never fixed. Air in room didn't work well. Stuffy. Had to open windows. Coffee/hot water pot in room would be nice. Stay here 3x's yr for work. Points for frequent travelers would be nice.
The staff was rude. The rooms were musty smelling. The mattress needed to be changed. The bathroom was smelly and the air-conditioner did not work properly.
