$10 internet charge per device per day. $7 for a bottle of water in the room. Disgraceful that in 2015 a hotel charges $10 per device per day to connect with the internet. It's false economy as this caused me in principle not to spend a single penny at the hotel. Instead I went to the excellent Renaissance Marriott across the road and enjoyed free Wi-Fi. Accordingly I spent cash on drinks, food, client entertaining etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff! The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great! It was a perfect location for seeing shows, time square and finding great restaurants close by.
Our stay at the Ameritania was lovely! The location was perfect. The room was decorated in a "boutique" style and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend staying here.
The windows do need to be cleaned; it would have been nice to have a clear view.
Location near Central Park and Times Sq
Staff couldnt help with wi-fi, wc is important when we travel and plan activities. I paid $25 for 3 days of virtually non-existent service, and felt had.
Loved everything about this hotel. Would definitely return next time I'm in New York!
Location. Decor. Staff.
Really I liked it all
We liked the very central location of the hotel. And the bed was comfortable.
The central heating was noisy and let out water and steam in our room, so we had to turn it off during the night. Then it got far too cold because it was a bad draught from the window. The bathroom was freezing!
doorman and receiption staff friendly - hotel good loctation to times sq and bars
corridors a bit dark, door to room wasnt too secure,
24hr complimetary tea/coffee in lobby is excellent idea. Price whilst expensive in comparison to similar standard of hotel in other cities was reasonable, given fairly central location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Dark colour scheme in rooms, combined with low wattage lighting. Room had 2 double beds, yet only a single chair - a couch wouod have been better.
The old heat system make some noise
WE really enjoyed the fact that the hotel was 1.5 blocks from the broadway play " the color purple" as well as the convenience to shops
I would like the hotel to offer complimentary shuttle services to the airport.
