Pool area was too noisy our room was located right above it.
Great experience! Hotel was clean and well-kept. Rooms were very comfortable. Rooms facing the water were extremely quiet at night. A relief after staying at other hotels in Oakland with lots of street noise. Also a delight to look out at the water in the morning. Beds and desks were comfortable. Staff was generally very helpful.
A couple times staff were curt, seemed irritated at doing their jobs. Also, they changed their shuttle service to only pick up and drop off at four locations, instead of anywhere within a three mile radius. The shuttle was still extremely helpful, and this wasn't that big of a deal, but it should have been properly advertised on their website ahead of time.
The staff was pleasant and the shuttle service was a nice convenience.
Initial room assigned was already occupied. Hallways had an unpleasant odor. Building, rooms and furnishings all seemed in need of updating.
A safe spot in oakland
Staff was AMAZING. They bent over backwards to help me. They had free shuttle service to Downtown Oakland! Place was clean with delicious, free breakfast. Hands down, though, it was staff that made this place excellent!
Nothing. I will stay here again. Best hotel in Oakland!
EVERYTHING! The customer service was outstanding, the rooms were large and very clean. Awesome location (it's worth the extra $ to have a water view room). I liked that they offer a free shuttle to Jack London Square. Parking at this hotel is FREE (unlike some other hotels nearby). The pool and bar is really nice, too.
There wasn't anything I disliked about this hotel. I will definitely stay if I'm in the area again.
The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. The atmosphere felt comfortable and safe.
No complaints at all.
Location, Breakfast buffet, room
Check in process : Brittany did not communicate very well and it resulted in some misunderstandings about our reserved room.
Big comfortable and clean room, good bed, excellent bathroom, located on the backside of the hotel with a view on the water, away from the very noisy 880 freeway that runs right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a few shuttle busses that can be used for transport to nearby restaurants or the bart train. With the bart you're in the centre of sfo within 20 minutes.
Located on the very noisy 880 freeway, so only rooms on the backside are acceptable.
The Hotel is cheap and in a good position if you want visit San Francisco(just 30' by Bart and 6$ round trip) Berklery (7miles by car) or Oakland(5minuts by car). The better thing is the carpool of the Hotel, the drop off you to the Bart station at every time morning and night. Breakfast is big, room is confortable and clean and the employees are kind and smart.I'd definitly suggest it.
There isn't wifi connection in the rooms but only in the hall but there are 5 pc always usable with printer.
Close to downtown Oakland and Alameda and Highway 880; had pool, hot tub and view of water; fridge in room; bed had soft pillows. Hotel large enough to have many people coming and going, important when leaving or arriving at the hotel in the evening.
Did not like the lightweight blanket on the bed; a fluffier/soft comforter would have been nice. If you had a room facing the highway, there would be constant noise.
The view from our 3rd floor waterfront side room was wonderful. It was very quiet at night, though it is right next to the freeway. The king bed was very comfortable. It is a non-smoking hotel, so there was no smell of smoke in the rooms or halls. The complimentary breakfast was great, more than the usual continental breakfast. The grounds were very well kept.
My only complaint was that though we stayed there 3 nights I asked the front desk clerk if we could take advantage of their park and fly option when we needed to fly from Oakland for a 4 night stay in Tucson. The clerk checked with her manager and he would not allow us to park for free without rebooking our room for a higher price. Their park and fly offer is for a 1 night stay for approx. $149 with 10 days of free parking. We stayed there 3 nights and spent over $300, and only needed 4 days of parking. I believe they should have accomodated our request. We had to pay for longterm parking at the airport instead.
Front Desk Service, location off the highway and near downtown Oakland and the quietness of the room.
