The Royal Floridian Resort is an upscale Oceanfront Resort located in beautiful Ormond Beach, FL. The property is situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean approximately five miles north of Daytona Beach and all surrounding attractions. Both Condo and Villa units are very spacious and beautifully decorated giving our guests the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The property offers inside and outside swimming pools, a Tiki bar, miniature golf, shuffleboard, basketball, hot tub(s), cardio room, and holds several activities daily.

Pros:The facilities were all very nice. There is plenty to do around the hotel, and plenty of activity, shopping, and did choices near by.
Cons:This is a time share business, so upon check in we were given an unwanted 10minute monologue about their properties and incentives to hear more. The next day a flyer was left at our door saying they'd been trying to reach us and our room had been chosen for a prize we just had to come claim it, then they tried calling our room, once that we know of, we did not answer but I'm sure it was about us setting up a time to come listen to the presentation. Over all the hounding wasnt that bad, not what I expected from some of the negative reviews, they weren't stalking us at the pool or anything. What we were disappointed in the most was that someone obviously under the influence had fallen off their bicycle near the entrance of the hotel and clearly needed medical help. When my husband called the front desk he was told security could not be bothered because it was not on their property, all he asked was if they could call 911, so he called it in himself, and help came. The lack of concern was truly disappointing.
Pros:The location is great. Right on the ocea. The staff is amazing.
Cons:Need to update the rooms. The bedspreads and blankets are old, stained, and hideous.
Pros:Hotel location was great, right on the ocean. Great pool area and right down to the beach. Restaurants and retails close by. Room was big and roomy, well appointed and comfortable. Just wish it had been ocean front. Would go there again. Would just find out where it is located.
Cons:Although most of the floor plans are ocean front, if you go through a booking agency, there are 2 bedrooms on the street side, not street view, just street side, with a view of the first floor roof and all the air conditioners outside your window. They don't mention them in all the descriptions. 3rd floor on up have an actual street view. If you can, find out where the room is.
Cons:Needed more grills for south tower. No pool at south tower. No easy way to get to pool from south tower. Kiddie pool is to plan for kids. The large pool outside to plan. Try to us military for discount refused it. The floor in is to slippery for little kids
Cons:Bed was a little uncomfortable
Pros:I actually loved being on the first floor and walking right out my patio door to the pool and down to the ocean. The room was much more than we expected. I would highly recommend anybody to stay at the Royal Floridian.
Cons:No Fox Sports 1 on the cable TV.
