Car Rental

Your options for renting a car at the Oslo Airport include: Avis, Budget/Sixt, Eurpocar and Hertz. These are all located in the arrivals hall (the lower level of the terminal) near the train station. If you are planning on staying in Oslo, it's recommended that you stick with the highly efficient public transportation as parking can be limited and difficult to find.

Public/Ground Transfer

The Oslo Airport has good options for public transportation that will get you to and from Oslo. The Airport Express Train, also known as Flytoget, goes from the Oslo airport to Oslo Central Station every 10 minutes, is a 20 minute ride and will cost 160 NOK (about $9-10 US dollars). Regional trains of the Norwegian State Railway also make the trip on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim line. These take a little longer at 26 minutes, leave once an hour and cost 82 NOK (about $5). Another option is the Airport bus (SAS Flybussen). It runs every 20 minutes, lasts 35-40 minutes and costs 120 NOK (about $8).

Airport Shuttles

There are private shuttle services, also known as airport transfers, that you can book in advance. These shuttle services operate on a fixed rate that is often pre-paid and can be arranged as shared rides with other passengers or as private shuttles. They are also a good option for large groups.

Limousine Services

If you're looking for a more luxurious ride to and from the airport, many of the airport transfer services also offer VIP or limousine services. As with any other limousine service, you'll pay a fixed rate, be greeted at the airport by your driver and taken directly to wherever you wish to go.

Taxi Services

You can either go to the taxi information desk in the in the arrivals area of the terminal or to the taxi stand right outside of arrivals to get a taxi. Though you can set a fixed price before you leave, taxis are often much more expensive than public transportation and, at around 50 minutes, can take twice as long.
