The Mercure Montparnasse is in the southern city center of Paris, in a modern building, within walking distance from the Montparnasse business area and near Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center. It is also close to Saint Germain and Saint Michel tourist areas. The rooms are clean and well equipped with WIFI and air conditioning. They do vary in size, and some of the smoking rooms are bigger and any odours are effectively controlled, so if you're not too fussy, this may be a better option. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, with the usual continental fare. The hotel lounge has live music and the Bistro De L'Echanson serves a nice dinner menu. There are also a number of good restaurants in the area nearby. The staff are professional and friendly.
