Bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was way better than most hotels. Very convenient location to Fair Grounds
They were at capacity upon arrival, so getting another room was not an option. Sink had whiskers from the previous guest, extra towels were not an option due to the high capacity, found a roach in dresser when unpacking my suitcase so had to keep clothes in the top of the closet, door to the room was hard to open. My parents' room door would not lock, leaving them vulnerable to the outside as rooms are outside accessible. Management switched them to a new room immediately.
The breakfast was cold
I was injured in my room by the bed frame sticking out about 10 inches. This was covered from immediate view by the bed skirt. While walking by (unclothed at the time ) my leg caught the corner of this dirty and rusty angle iron and it tore a hole in my leg. I was very concerned and was going to go to a urgent care place or a hospital but managed to stop the bleeding and bandage the laceration myself. I left all of the bloody tissue and bandage wrappers on the corner of the bed for hotel management to see - all just above the offensive bed frame. I called the front to appraise them of the problem and spoke to the desk person on my way to breakfast. I insisted that the manager / owner see this as I am demanding a refund of one night. In the evening when I returned to the hotel I found no communication from management or any acknowledgement of my injury. The next morning I went to the desk and asked for the manager again - not there. I told the desk person that I was not going to stay there that night and that I demand a refund of at least one nights rent due to the negligence of this hotel and their terrible attitude toward me after being injured in the room - #119. It is now 3 days later and I have still had no contact from this Ramada. As your company was the source for my reservation and the handler of my payment I now demand a refund from you for a minimum of one nights stay and a full refund if you really want to be fair. And-- for the record - while talking to the front desk person the morning of my injury I had two cockroaches running around my feet and I also reported that to the desk person. This is not a nice place. Now it up to you to make this horrible situation right. Sincerely Phil Meyers 770 487 4220
The breakfast buffet was excellent
Double size beds seemed dated tho comfortable. Most motels these days have queen size beds.
Comfortable beds...location close to everything
Price was raised due to fair, but Kayak saved me from paying that price. Usually can check in early, but had to wait 3 hours and others were placed before me
Price, convenience, layout
Fitness equipment was in poor shape.
