Room smelled of bleach initial walk in. Dont get me wrong, we knew the room was definitely CLEAN (lol) but just a tad bit strong. Had to crack the window and air out. Beds squeaked when moving around at night. I didn’t like that there was NO microwave 😩 we ordered pizza both nights for the kiddo and couldn’t even rewarm the pizza. Other than that, location was fantastic. Poolside was great and fun. And all the staff were so incredibly nice. We’d stay again for sure.
Location & the atmosphere!
Dirty rooms and facilities, I’m honestly shocked on the lack of cleanliness of this hotel and even the front desk staff lack of friendliness, so not what I am used to from the Autograph hotels
This property met all my expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, everyone from the restaurant staff to the valet to the front desk. They were always helpful and accommodating. We upgraded our room to a premium balcony the over looked the ocean. The room as immaculate and extremely roomy. The view was to die for and I could have spent hours relaxing on the balcony with a book and the ocean. One of nicest rooms I’ve stayed in. The most attractive feature of this property is the location. It doesn’t get better than this. The property is ocean front and just steps away from the Pismo Pier. There are shops and plenty of food restaurants within a 4 block walk. The area is clean and safe and access to the beach is just steps away. Once we parked, we didn’t have to move our car until we checked out. They have a high end restaurant on site but only tried the breakfast. Prices are a bit high but comparable to any high end resort. There is one aspect of this property that was a bit concerning to me but I was aware of this prior to booking. The property is very dog friendly and my wife is allergic to pet hair. There is something about Pismo and dogs. Seems like everyone had a dog in town and there were plenty staying at the hotel. Notwithstanding the dog friendly policy, the place is immaculate and there was no indication of any indication that a dog had been in our room. Otherwise my wife would have reacted to it. I will definitely be back. Great weekend get away.
