Pros (+) The hostel looked nice, well decorated, room was reasonably comfortable and the breakfast at the restaurant was expensive but good. Easy to walk into town and across the road was Playa Negra, a black sand beach.
Cons (-) They have frequent power outages which means there's no lights, running water, or food available in the restaurant. The outage lasted for hours on our second night. During the rainy season it also smells terrible around the hostel and we found cockroaches in our room. Only cold water in the shower.
