Convenient to water activities.
Not very clean. The showercurtain had mildew and there was some funky stuff in the tub. Plus, the a/c unit was old.
Nice room within a gated community.
We love the location, south of Tampa, not far from the Manatee Viewing Station. Very picturesque setting and great view of the sunsets. Last time we were there (March 2012) we got upgraded to the suites, which are much nicer accommodations. Our room at the "inn", which is motel-like, gave us convenient access to our car and the grounds. The pools are well-located, attractive and clean. We had a nice view of a waterway and different kinds of birds. There is a laundromat available, although we did not use it.
We were in a first floor room and, unfortunately, heard the people above us and next to us very easily and they were not even particularly noisy. This affected our sleep. The Sunset Grill restaurant is well situated but the food is disappointing. They lost our reservation and so we had an unexpected wait. There was not any recycling available.
