I can’t say I liked anything. Very mediocre for the price. It was more expensive dollar for dollar to stay than going somewhere more expansive but closer to Monterey with more amenities.I can't believe Salinas is offered as an alternative for Monte
The hotel’s shower curtain at the bottom was moldy and their drains lazy. You even had to flush the toilet several times holding your breath and hoping that it would not clog up for you. The employees weren't knowledgeable or helpful either. Bad ch
It's convenience to shopping.
Noisy ftom hallway.
The staff was very helpful.
I was charged an extra $20 on my credit card which I did not appreciate; other than that, I thought the hotel was rather nice and the staff was great.
The size of the room was nice as well as having a balcony.
There was a burn Mark on the bed spread. When I left for the day I requested our room to be made up. They came and made the beds and took the towels. They left one towel and didn't clean the sink or dump any of the trashes.
Marriott has a great reputation. They were very helpful when we called at 11:00 because of noise. Within 5 minutes we were innn a quiet room. Thank you!
Staff was really accommodating. We were traveling with a newborn baby
Sounded like gun shots through the night. Scary!!!!
We liked the staff. Super friendly and helpful
Yes, no room service, no free breakfast and the cost of the items in the lobby was outrageous.
Easy access from highway
Staff somewhat abrupt
rooms cleanthin wallsno diningbeds ok
to far out of way
Clean, organized, staff was friendly and VERY on-top of things. (The play pen arrived in our room within minutes as well as additional towels). Hotel was centrally located near other shopping and places to eat. Family friendly.
Front desk allows us to late check out by 1pm as courtesy.
Clean, roomy, updated.
Thin walls, noisy utility pipes.
No paper or pencil in room. A small bit of dry rot in the bathroom was visually unappealing.
I called the hotel to let them know that we needed a late check in and they held our double occupancy room as requested. They were very friendly and the hotel beds were so comfy and it was quiet after a long day of driving and sight seeing.
It was far from the Santa Cruz boardwalk, we had never been there so we didn't know the exact distance. On the bright side there was an IHOP walking distance from the hotel that was great. They had great food and service.
Cleansiness, modern look, overall facility.
I usually have no problems getting a room with double queens but they were not able to accommodate me claiming the system locked her out from doing so. Highly unlikely.
Check in was moderately quick. Room was relatively clean. Staff was consistently polite when they declined even the most basic of requests. ie, an extra pillow, or the room type I reserved.
I booked two queen beds. I had 4 people in my party. They ran out of rooms with two queens, so they gave me a king with a pull out couch. Couch was very uncomfortable resulting a rather sleepless night.
Location, friendly staff
Noise travels through the thin doors. Trapped air in the pipes was very noisy when others used the plumbing.
The staff was friendly and very willing to help.
The room smelled like smoke! The front desk was very willing to move me to a different room. The new room smelled a little moldy and unused but was much better than a smokey room that was listed as non-smoking. They didn't have free breakfast as advertise
Restaurant staff was courteous. Food was excellent.
i stayed 3 nights. Room service was only done once during the stay and the tub was not cleaned. Service was basic minimum. Room curtains seams were torn. TV remote didn't work, acid spilling over batteries. Also no microwave provided when requested.
The staff is friendly, though I suspect way understaffed.
My room was not cleaned one day, despite my notifying the front desk when I would be leaving my room. Again, the staff tried to accommodate when I returned to my room late at night.
This hotel smelled great!! It was very clean. They even gave each of us a small gift upon checking in.
This hotel is not quiet....you hear EVERYTHING!!! The door was a bit too small for the frame, therefore it did not completely seal. The thermostat lit up the entire room. I did not sleep well and left with a huge headache the next morning.
No breakfast and no air-conditioning the temperature. Very warm room.
Room did not have a fridge. Called front desk to ask for one and was told to check cabinet. Opened cabinet but fridge was missing. Told front desk about it and she said she will look for a vacant room with a fridge but never heard from her again.
Room was nice, pool was great
Having to pay for breakfast. There was a room filled with screaming teenage girls on our hall. I called front desk to complain, and the manager said many others had complained too. Then why wasn't it taken care of? I had to go scream at them to get quiet
Nice hotel, seemed better than 2.5 stars.
Far from attractions.
Seems like everything in the room was broken
We got bit by bed bugs. My 3.5 yrs got bug bites all over him.
Renovated lobby looks good. Nice business center/lounge.
Rooms and building are showing wear. Sink faucet water pressure splashes water all over the counter. Shower had heavy mineral deposits and some pink yeast. Needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Location, staff, cleanliness
Poor construction quality. Can easily hear guests in rooms beside and walking above. Difficult if you're a light sleeper like me. I realize there's little that can be done at this point but it's an issue.
Day staff were very friendly
Few things were wrong...screen doors were broken, AC did not work, sink was clogged and night staff was not helpful when we called about a noise coming from next room at 2 in the morning. It was annoying, and disturbance.
The staff was awful!
The public spaces were nice and clean the parking was close
the beds and linen were stained and infested
No breakfast even though it was listed as having a free breakfast buffet!
The hotel had a very modern entryway.
Someone was smoking both marijuana and cigarettes in the room next door even though the entire hotel was considered non-smoking.
Chipped paint and scuff marks in the hallways and on elevator jamb, inside elevator door was etched. 2nd floor hallway looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a month. Carpet in the room had several large noticeable stains.
Nice amenities in lobby. Little over priced market, Starbucks coffee and bistro.
We booked a room with 2 queens. Upon check in they say there is only a king and a pull out. Get in room no pull out. Had to switch to another room. Disappointing. Had to make up pull out myself.
The bed was soft
everything but the bed
Very small room, and overpriced for what you got. Old appliances - coffee maker, loud ac unit, and thin walls - could hear the neighbor's shower@3am. Was not given the option to add breakfast through priceline. The spa was out of order during our stay.
This hotel had bedbugs and bodily fluid on sheets I have called your customer relations department to ask for a refund and have yet to hear back from them completely outraged with your service
No idea why extra charges were made on the CC. Contacting the hotel via email is tough.
For about * per night (including tax) you can get a room about the size of a large walk in closet. The walls were so thin that I could hear every word spoken by the people next door talking at normal speaking volume along with a great deal of parking lot noice. When I called the desk to complain I was lied to and told that there were no other rooms available, all sold out. Found out later that there other rooms avaialble but not ''made up''. With little sleep, my job interview the next day was not good. I am a frequent business traveler and stay in hotels every week. You can certainly get a better room in Salinas at a much cheaper price.
