The place was ok and near the center
The climate was realy noisily and you hered the landing planes...
The inside and how bad the paint looks terrible elevator its run down
Very friendly staff. Great service with the shuttle from the airport. Room was clean, but was easy to hear noise from outside. Wish breakfast had been included.
Loved it I'll be back in a few weeks!
- rob was amazing, other than that the staff was not exactly friendly - room was huge and had really high ceilings - location was ideal
- checked into yelp and didnt receive a room upgrade - hotel had creepy photos in our room - 1 tiny elevator for everyone (including bar patrons) took forever to come - parking was $30 a night extra
My room and bed looked clean. Front desk people seemed nice and friendly. Centrally located making it easy to get around in San Diego. The carpet and bathroom look like they were remodeled in the last 2-3 years.
I'm not sure when the hotel was built but it does seem like an old property. There was a slight scent maybe due to the age of the building. The hotel has a motel feel and the elevator takes too long. Some stucco missing from the exterior of the hotel from where luggage cart hit it. Outdoor AC units leak water onto pathway back to elevator. There was a large space between the door and the door stop in my room.
The decor was very chic and the location was fantastic.
The bathrooms were too small.
staff very friendly and helpful location to things I like - good food, shops, clean...
Location was great. Room was clean and up to date. Calling for the free airport shuttle was easy.
Breakfast was not included because of a third party rule that cancelled out my offer because I booked through another major website. Found that out after I got there and checked in. Also, they charged me $150 as some sort of security deposit in case I damage something. I had to report the damages that were already in my room so I wouldn't get charged. Would have been nice to know about that beforehand even though I wasn't charged.
Size of rooms. Location Location Location. Some early check-in available free of charge. Friendly staff.
Elevators took a while. Valet was $25. Breakfast was included for only SOME of our rooms, even though we all booked on the same site. Disappointing inconsistency.
Location, location, location. In little Italy near to everything
Old property, rooms not clean, breakfast mediocre, very noisy
In the heart of Little Italy with great food around the neighborhood. Easy to walk everywhere.
Rooms were nasty and could hear everythong. Had people smoking weed right outside my room.
We loved the location, the view, and the room...very clean and spacious! We ate at the restaurant "The Glass Door" for dinner and sat with the prettiest view at sunset.
The only complaint we would have would be the elevator; it takes awhile and has no indication when it arrives. Other than that, everything was great!
The hotel has two elevators and staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant had a great view and staff was great!
The location was a bit scary at night and really hard to find parking. Valet was $25 each day. Still under construction, upstairs was not done.
The location was great and perfect for the reason we came to San Diego and it even included a small fridge.
The rooms are a bit outdated and the 2in1 shampoo & poor soaps could be upgraded.
I made my reservation at 11:59pm. I selected a same evening check in. When i ARRIVED to the hotel, I was told that my check in was not until 3pm. Was shocked- hotel was sold out! Called the next day, explained my error & issue- was explained the non-refund policy, even after your kind attendant put me on hold to ask a manager. Big disappointment. Wasted $130.00! Not happy & not certain i will use your service again unless this could be gracefully addressed. At least a partial refund would've been a kind gesture!
The rooms.are nice
The tv did not have service. When we came to check in, they did not have any rooms that we paid for. The bathroom was making some noises so we couldnt sleep. I was really upset that they didnt have any rooms that we had paid for.
The restaurant was very convenient with a beautiful view of San Diego and breakfast was not bad. The room was clean and comfortable.
The best view of the hotel is the one or two pictures you'll see online of the front. Once inside the courtyard and hotel look like a motel and could use new paint and some freshening up for the price you're paying. The elevators are slow so be prepared to wait on them.
I really liked the location where the Porto Vista was located. I only took a cab once when I got to San Diego only to realize that the hotel would pick me up and drop me off at the airport. It was really close to public transportation. The rooms were also very clean and we'll kept.
I did not like how noisy the plumbing was, being a plumber this drives me crazy and wouldn't ha e expected it to come from such a nice hotel but other wise every thing was great
Location in Little Italy, roof top restaurant and bar, good breakfast included in our rate
Our room was dark and cramped, plumbing fixtures very dysfunctional. Parking expensive
The pictures looked nicer than the actual hotel. The courtyard and hotel loed more like a motel
Location and relaxed atmosphere. Ac unit wasn't working and was taken care of immediately.
Room smelt upon entry and was small.
The service was terrible. Took 40min and 3 phone calls to get extra towels.
Cheap feel. Not worth the cost
Parking is $22, staff are poorly trained, rooms are small, made reservations and were given a room subpar AND still charged for the more expensive room that we were not given. What really bothered me was the person checking us in did not even tell us they were out of rooms. We booked a room with a balcony and upon checking in, they made us wait 20 minutes while they constantly answered other peoples calls and frantically telling us to hold on. After finally being given our room, we walked in to find a tiny room with no balcony. When we called the front desk, their response, "Yea, we are out of balcony rooms." ...Were they hoping we would just check in and not notice? They could have given us a heads up and try to accommodate us. Instead they acted as if everything was normal to try to get our money without providing us with what we were guaranteed. I bet if we did not complain, they would have never even try to switch our rooms the day after. What's worse is upon check out. They tried to charge us for an extra day of valet parking when we clearly stated to them the night before that we had found street parking and would no longer need valet. Horrible stay.
Staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and hip. Great little lounge area on the 5th floor.
Parking was $22 a night or you had to park on the street. Street parking is super limited.
Very Friendly Staff. Clean.
Street parking was limited and no self parking lot at hotel. Valet only option at 22 bucks.
The location was the only positive to this visit.
The price was a 3-4 star rate for a 1-2 star roach motel style result. Staff terrible, facilities misleading and run down, price of room and parking poor. Shouldn't charge for parking. Room rates should mirror closer to $60 a night, not $160. Rack was $160, I paid $110 via 3rd party booking and still feel I overpaid.
