The staff was friendly, the food was good, there was an ATM on site, shuttle service.
Shuttle service was a bit restrictive in distance and times. Eating area was crowded.
Location was great. Rooms were spacious.
Breakfast choices, location
Hot tub was not working, and extra charge for parking
The rooms were nicer than the entrance or breakfast area. The breakfast was good, fresh fruit not just carbs.
The bathroom needed some repairs and new grout. The entrance area was in need of refurbushing
This hotal staff was amazing! They where above abd beyond my expectations!
Staff was courteous, helpful, awesome
location and value
The hotel was walking distance to all the great restaurants. It was close to anything you could want to do in San Diego.
It was right next to the train tracks.
Not enough parking
The staff was very friendly and went over and above to check on us to make sure everything was good and our room was clean. They also accommodated us early, calling at 10am to let us know they had our room ready. We had a long flight and we're exhausted.
The only complaint was that the shower didn't have hot water...water was Luke warm. Called and they sent out someone to fix it but it couldn't be fixed.
The hotel is in a great location near the pier. Right across the hotel is a beautiful park + water park! Then you are right there on the pier. The location is very close (walking distance) to many bars and restaurants as well.
There was a displeasing odor in the hallways. It was pretty pungent but it disappear once we got into our hotel room.
Bed was very comfortable. I fell asleep right away and did not wake in the middle at all. The breakfast was very good, too. ,
Close to the railroad, and the train sound was quite noisy.
I've stayed here many times for business trips and will keep coming back. The hotel is one street over from the Maritime Museum and the harbor, and is about a 20 minute walk to the Gaslamp District. Little Italy is two streets away. Overall I think it is a great location as it is very close to downtown, but with a little less of the hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean, as is the rest of the hotel. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good. In the evening you can sit out by the firepit next to the pool. There is a train track right behind the hotel. Most of the noise from the trains is during the day. At night it's quiet. The parking spaces are on the small side, and the parking lot does get full if the hotel is busy.
Stayed in a 2bed/2bath suite. Great idea traveling with teenage boys. The hotel offered free shuttle service to tourist sites within a 3 mile radius. We could visit the Zoo, Gaslamp, Seaport Village/Ferry, Petco, Convention Center, and Old Town. We could walk to the Bay and Little Italy. \nThe staff was very attentive and extremely pleasant. Room was clean and spacious.\nThere was some train noise behind the hotel--they do offer earplugs if you're a light sleeper. \nWe have stayed here on 2 different trips--once in 2007, once in 2008--and will book here again on our next visit to San Diego.
