Did not like the fact that first room we were put in....had screaming 2or 3 year old right next door. The hotel moved us up another floor....and again had to deal with a noisy child. Will never stay at this hotel again. I was hoping for a relaxing weekend & to have a good night sleep. That was not want I got at the Wydham in San Diego.
No place to put luggage. And the closet was in the bathroom, behind the bathroom door, which was utterly useless. Would never stay there again, unless you have rooms available where a closet is easier to access.
I liked the shuttle system. The location was wonderful for visiting lots of the downtown areas.
I wish that the rooms had refrigerators and microwaves.
When we arrived the valet and self parking was full. The hotel would take no more cars. We were forced to leave and come back several hours later. When we returned parking was still full. When we finally checked the hotel was over booked and our room (which was already paid) was no longer available. After an hour of speaking with management we were given a small parlor room with three roll-a-ways. Beds were very uncomfortable. The experience was horrible. And the only thing the hotel provided us for our inconvenience was a comp breakfast. Nothing additional, no discount or credit. I would never recommend this hotel.
The rooms were clean. The location was fairly convenient - right across from the street from bay, nice view, easy walk to Little Italy, Seaport Village, and a few ships across the street to tour. Hornblower was also close. There was a park right across the street with a splash pad and playground - great for kids. The staff was very nice an helpful. Pool was clean and enjoyable. It was very nice to have a balcony and get fresh air in the room. The deli downstairs was very convenient. As was having Ruths Christ which had great happy hours.
I know the facility was previously a Holiday Inn - so it's not the higher-end Wyndham you may think of. While the overall cleanliness of the property was great, be aware that there are 3 "towers" and you may be a short walk from the lobby. The overall property is not all fenced off, but the hotel does have safety features. The outside isn't that wonderful, but it's do-able.
Everything was great overall.
Nearby construction woke me up earlier than I wanted to on one occasion.
The view was great, except it ended up raining the next day, but the hotel was clean, they provided extra towels, pillows etc.
The vending machine wasnt workin on our floor and i was a bit tired to use the elevator to check the other levels, so i called the staff if they could bring water cause the vending machin wasnt working and me and my wife were a bit tired, and they told me to walk and check the other floors first and call them back. Some customer service
So we hopped in the car, opened up Kayak and found the Wyndham San Diego Bayside hotel! Just what we were looking for! We upgraded to a harbor view room and it paid for itself with just that sweet ocean breeze coming into our room. Walking distance to a ton of activities!
$26/day for parking.
Once we found the main entrance it was much better than the garage entrance
Siri does not know how to find your main entrance, eternal signage is non existent. The I phone charger / player only works for the older style units.
Location, price, staff and views were all hard to beat. This used to be a Holiday Inn but was recently renovated to be a Wyndham. It's a lot nicer now. Balcony furniture was also a very nice feature.
Bed was made in an unorthodox way, took some getting used to.
Standard hotel with nice views.
No free breakfast or parking.
It was good value for the price. Location was also good, within walking distance to many things we were interested in seeing and doing. The staff were very nice, helpful and courteous.
At the time of our stay, there was a lot of major construction going on in the immediate surrounding area that was a bit of a nuisance.
The location and view were wonderful. You can walk all over downtown San Diego.
I would have liked to have a refrigerator in the room. The restaurant next door had also closed.
Very accommodating staff.
There was a bad odor outside.
The parking is very expensive
I loved my view, fast check in and check out. Fell in love with this hotel the first time and came back for a second time. Location is awesome, love the balcony and the balcony view.
