The property Fattoria San Donato is located in a small medieval town, surrounded by the green hills of San Gimignano. The little village, built on the ancient via Francigena around a petite Romanic church, has maintained its original structure: the main villa with its age-old parkland, the cropper houses, and the beautiful tower, now a common room at guests' disposal. Guests will have the opportunity to sample local wine and oil products and relax in the park, or discover the surroundings on foot, mountain bike, or horse. Moreover, the property offers an Internet point, a meeting room for 70 people, large parking area, and restaurant. Wireless Internet access is provided free of charge for guests, in public areas of the hotel. Due to its strategic position in the heart on Tuscany, 4 kilometers from San Gimignano, 15 kilometers from Volterra, 35 kilometers from Siena, 55 kilometers from Florence, and 60 kilometers from Pisa, the property is the ideal place for visiting the Tuscan art cities. Dogs and cats are welcome in the hotel.
We loved the beautiful location and friendly owners who made us feel very welcome. Our room had a wonderful view. The pool was great. Charming village, full of character and atmosphere. Very peaceful at night. The owners were very helpful in providing walking maps of the area and also giving us a lift into San Gimignano in the evening and also to the local station for our journey home, which was greatly appreciated.
The friendliness of the owner and the location. the atmosphere of te apts. and thefarm.
Host and staff very kind
Very pleasant staff
No AC in the room, so it was pretty hot at night.
Very friendly and helpful family run farm. Changed our room to a self-catered flat without any problem; provided lots of advice on where to visit; lovely pool and great sunbathing area with lovely views over Tuscan countryside; free wine tastings of their farm produced wine; very quiet location, away from the crowds of San Gimagnano!
No fans or airconditioning so some nights it got hot (shutters closed to keep out mosquitoes etc)
