The location and views of Puget Sound/Seattle are amazing. And the staff was friendly and helpful - the concierge team was especially knowledgable for visitors like us that wanted to truly explore!

The lobby seemed outddated (looked like there were about to start renovation though), and the under-building parking seemed antiquated. Next time, we will just use Metro transit and taxis.

We spent 2 nights at the Kimpton Vintage Park (Seattle) in September.  The hotel was very nice, not spectacular however we couldn't have asked for a better location and they have a nice restaurant/bar.  I have stayed at Kimpton properties before and noticed that the Seattle property didn't have in room coffee unlike other Kimptons that do supply this service.  Coffee is available in the lobby which is not convenient early morning. Our room was a good size, well appointed, quiet and clean.

We read other reviews that said the rooms were small, and we thought buzz-words like 'historic' and 'boutique' might be code for 'cramped,' but we were pleasantly surprised.  Our room was spacious and had an unexpected hide-a-bed, which was a wonderful bonus.  The beds were great (not sure if there were as amazing as I thought, or just amazing compared to the mattresses on the cruise ship we had just come from).   Nice touches like bikes and umbrella available to guests and cold water with fresh cucumber slices in the lobby made us feel like family rather than customers.  The lamb sirloin at the hotel restaurant, Tulio, was TO-DIE-FOR (good thing as most other eatery in the neighborhood seemed to close at 3 pm on a week night).   I love that the hotel is not only dog friendly, but keeps a puppy shaped blackboard in the lobby showing the names of K-9 guests staying in the hotel. P.S.  Best turn-down mints in the business as far as I am concerned.

Great location in City; great sports bar and coffee shop connected; great resturants within a few blocks. Awesome staff, absolutely GREAT!!

Too hot and stuffy. Turned off A/C but windows do not open enough. Rooms a bit run down...need a refresh..

Old classic building and halls, rooms. Has charm but getting to be on the dingy side. That said, I will go back based on the cost/value-location-staff

Kimpton hotels have yet to disappoint me. It costs more, but is sooooo worth it! They have small details that make you feel welcome and that they are truly glad to have you.

Just the price. But it's worth it!

The service was great. People were really nice and I got a free upgrade.

I didn't particularly like the beds at the W. They felt lumpy. I stayed in The Westin the day after and I LOVE their beds! I also didn't really like the dark, club feel and the loud music in the lobby. I just wanted to relax and felt like I couldn't at the W.

Staying here makes me feel like a visit to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.  Great decor, very well appointed rooms, and the bar includes a proper absinthe service.  Staff was extremely helpful.  Great place to stay when you're actually there long enough to enjoy the room, not just crash.

We only stayed at the Arctic Club for one night because we were in town for a Mariner game but we loved the hotel and will stay there again next year when we return to Seattle to watch the Red Sox play the Mariners! Service: The valet was very friendly as he helped us unload our bags from the car. The front desk, while friendly, declined to let us check in 30 minutes early so we wandered off to get a late lunch. Tip - do not eat at the restaurant downstairs in the middle of the afternoon. They only had one person on staff and the manager was not interested in helping her as he just stood near the front door talking to someone while we sat for 15 minutes without so much as a glass of water. Decor - loved the old fashioned ambience of the hotel! From the furniture to the lighting to the glass door on the bathroom, it was all so well thought out! Yes, the bathroom is on the small side but was clean and everything looked new. The elevators are small too but it made for humorous conversat...

I read a lot of negative reviews on hotel seattle and i don't know why everyone is complaining. Yes, it is an old hotel. The wallpaper was peeling in our room, did it affect our stay in any way? no. The bathroom was old. Did that affect our stay? no. The TV had a few channels. Did that affect it negatively? no. You shouldn't be on vacation to watch television anyway. did it have a kitchen or a fridge? no. But I did plenty of research and was made well aware of it beforehand. If anyone does do research on this hotel, they will know this and be ok with it or not. Do your research! It wasn't a bad hotel. It was old, obviously been there for years. But it was cheap, it was a bed, it was a shower and bathroom. It had very very friendly and helpful staff. Not in a sketchy part of town. we had a corner room so we had plenty of air movement. the carpet had stains but it was clean, so that didn't affect us at all. Overall, happy with our stay there, really nothing to complain about. And if you are complaining about something, its obvious you didn't do your research. and quit being cheapskates and pay for a more upscale/newer hotel if your going to whine about outdated stuff.

I sent 3 20-something guys to stay here for a training event. Their awful experience is now a watercooler ghost story. They wedged shoes under the doors to feel more safe and were creeped out by unidentifiable stains, molds, and carpet that is definitely older than them. The experience definitely differs by room - some are worse than others - but a lack of air conditioning and faulty door locks would have been enough to send me packing even without the extra yuck factor.

I liked the quality of the bedding but we the bed didnt have a top sheet just the duvet and a sheet on the mattress. Pillows were nice and fluffy.

No free wifi. You have to pay extra for almost everything even over night parking in the garage. There was construction going on which we didnt hear but they put temorary lables on the elevator buttons that were not very clear. We were not the only ones that had issues.

I stay at a hotels a lot and what I normally consider a great experience is when a hotel does a great job of alleviating the inconvenience of not being at my own house with my own stuff and kitchen. But the sorrento is a whole other thing. It's effing fabulous. I felt instantly relaxed and at home, if my home were a huge gilded age mansion. The food is wonderful, the staff is very available, the lobby area- I just wanted to hang out there and not go out. Even the courtyard, which is on a busy street, was like a cocoon. The whole experience was like being in another better world. AND there was tons of free street parking within a 2 blocks radius!

The one lame thing was there is only one elevator, but it is a genuinely old building, and what're you gonna do? It moved fast- you could tell they've made an effort to make it as speedy as possible. And it had a rug that said the day of the week! Which is more reassuring than you might think when you are travelling.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
