Podere La Strega is in a simply beautiful setting, with the most stunning views of Siena. It is far enough away to feel like an escape, but also close enough to explore neighboring vineyards and Siena, which is only 5 minutes away by car.

The communal breakfast is decent, includes homemade items, and is a good way to get to know other guests if you wish. The breakfast was always fresh and tasty with lots of great options.

The owners were friendly, very helpful, and a joy to meet. Letizia and her husband were very kind and helpful at great restaurant suggestions and other things to do in the area.

The property has a magical energy around it, an infinity pool looking out to Siena, and ample parking. There are plenty of spaces to just hang out, have a meal, a bottle of wine, and facilities to prepare your own meals if needed.

If you have no car, a 15-minute walk down a lane takes you to a bus stop which runs a bus every 15 minutes into the heart of the city. The lane is steep and could be challenging to some. The property is approximately a 5-minute drive from a large car park outside of Siena, which offers an escalator directly into the center.

Several guests mentioned that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Opting for a room with a balcony facing the fountain comes highly recommended.
