Location. Not much to choose from in Greenfield.

I prefer a newer hotel but this one was livable for one night. I wasn't expecting much but it did meet my expectations for the star level.

Right off the freeway, Jack in the Box is across the street and a Denny's. Gas station on the corner. Close to Downtown Salinas. Room was nice and clean.

Staff, we walked in to check in and the man behind the counter said 'Id and Credit card' that's it nothing else, then when he handed the key and reciept to my wife said nothing, not the room number, where it was at, thank you or nothing!

Overall good location, rooms were nice, beds comfy. Didn't have any problems with traffic noise. Staff needs training on customer service, alot of training. It would be a close 10 if it were not for the staff.

I stayed here this past weekend and had a very unpleasant experience with the manager. I saw a bunch of hairs in the bath tub and reported it to the front desk. Immediately, the woman who worked there denied that I saw hairs and refused to be of any assistance. I gave up and we finished our conversation. A couple of minutes later, there was a knock at the door. I was a little scared by this seeing as to how it was almost midnight. It was the manager himself who wanted to come in and take a look to see if there was hair in the tub. My boyfriend and I let him in and once he looked, he immediately acted like he didn't see any hair. My boyfriend specifically pointed out each hair to him, and he responded by saying they were scratches, not hair. At this point, he was saying something like 'get out, get out, you're going to have to move to another room'. I sensed that he was getting angry so rather than have this situation escalate, my boyfriend and I offered to clean the bath tub ourselves ...

Nothing

They missed servicing the room, ran out of toilet paper and had to ask twice for more, no fresh clean towels, dirty nasty stained carpets, broken furniture, sheet to small for bed so we slept on plastic, left wake-up call for 7 AM they called at 3 AM.

Would never stay there again and would advise others to avoid this place like it was the plague.

Smelled like smoke, the window was hard to close, there was mold in the bathroom & a lot of peeling paint over the tub & a couple mysterious stains on the floor that looked just like fresh blood. The clerk said it was probably hair dye but it was gross!

Hotel is over priced for the quality. The restaurant was very expensive for super small portions. My debit card was charged 200 dollars deposit for each night I stayed and this money was not returned to me for 3 days AFTER check out. UNACCEPTABLE.

Plenty of parking.

The manager Andy was very rude, highly disappointed. I learned you get what you pay for. Cheap hotels equal cheap service. A stranger was knocking on my room door at 10pm. Several people hanging out I'm the parking lot and gas station next door.

For breakfast they offered coffee but had no sugar, strawberries were molded and they had a half a loaf of bread for toast. Did not have a peaceful night of sleep at all. I see why it was one star I should have used better judgement and not stayed there, never again will I stay at a one or two star location. Lesson learned

Very neat & clean rooms with ample parking space. Right off the interstate with food & Gas next door.

The breakfast was non-existent. Breakfast hours are 6:30 - 9:30AM, and 8:15AM they had: - 3 bagels - 2 tablespoons of butter spread - A cup of milk - 4 Cinnamon rolls - Coffee - Cereals I asked for refills, but there were none.

Polite & nice staff, very clean hotel. This is a good place if you just want a place to live, but give it a pass if the breakfast is an important part of the deal for you. As a note - this is the first Super8 where I have encountered this breakfast issue. Every other Super8 that I've stayed in, across different states, have been great.

Location, location, location, The river outback was the highlight. It was also nice to roast marshmellows by the fire.

The staff was helpful and it was close to everything I needed e.g., groceries, fuel, place to eat. It was also close to places I wanted to visit.

Internet was sporatic and I killed two spiders, including one small one that crawled out from under my pillow.

I had a room on the side of highway one that was not close to the river. I crossed highway one each time I needed to go to the office, grocery store, or restaurant. I was on my own so it wasn't a problem, but if I had small children I would not have wanted to stay on that side. The people were friendly and helpful. It was close to a lot of places to visit in Big Sur.

We stayed for one night at America's Best Value Inn in Salinas and it was a good place to sleep for the price. There are no frills. It is located right next to an on-ramp for the 101 hiughway but the noise level was relatively good. It was a good place to stay if you are visiting Monterey.

Very clean and quite! Nice indoor pool and spa. we were very worried when we pulled up because it is right next to the freeway - pleasantly surprised that you couldn't hear the freeway at all. Morning breakfast was very nice. A ton to choose from. The staff was always checking to make sure all items were fresh and fully stocked. A bit far from Monterey - it took us about 30 minutes to get there but it worked well for us.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. Other guests were very friendly at breakfast.

The train tracks were very close and could be heard in the room easily.

We stayed just one night, but many of the guest stay there for extended visits to esape the cold weather up north and have been going there for years. They really enjoyed the pool and the warm weather as well as all the nice people there.

The room was fine - nice and clean. It was very quiet.

The check-in experience was horrible. (see details in review below) The continental breakfast was quite lacking.

This is the only time I have ever had a bad experience checking in with a priceline purchased hotel. The desk clerk kept telling me to 'cancel' my online reservation and go directly through him (at an increase in price of $34) or he would put me in a horribly smelly smoking room used by a man who was a multiple pack a day smoker who had only left that morning. He kept saying that he had many non-smoking rooms, but he would only give me one of them if I paid him directly his non-discounted price. He also kept telling me that I had obviously paid more going through an on-line system and I was stupid. I felt like I was in a bad movie or was in the middle of a nightmare that wouldn't end.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
