Located near good restaurants
Poor customer service No valet Have to pay for parking Smelly rooms
The best part of this stay was after we checked out and left the parking lot.
Most everything. Pool area and Sauna was filthy. Sauna did not work and temp did not get above 100 degrees. Service person at pool was rude. Bathroom had dirt and mold built up in the corners. Must moldy odor in room. This place definitely did not live up to the advertising and hype. Was a place for gamblers to lay their heads for a few hours before going back to the tables and games. Not much more than this.
easy access to casino.
The room furniture looked like it was from the 1990's when the hotel was Embassy suites. The water pipes rattled loudly in the room especially in the morns with people bathing in other rooms. The desk/dresser combo was way too high for the non rolling chair they had for it. It put my laptop almost to shoulder level. The lighting in the bathroom was practically non-existent. I think it consisted of 2 20 watt bulbs. Absolutely no light in shower. The ground floor to roof open atrium looks beautiful but makes a natural echo amplifier chamber which even closing all doors in room didn't help lower the noise when they had an event especially with a live band.
The price was ok and the stay was peaceful once we got to our room.
This hotel should have been called a Motel. Entirely too much going on in this hotel. Overall the hotel seemed to be dated... Old looking carpet throughout and furniture made this place look equvilant to motel 6. The only way i'd come back is if i would cheat on my wife. Being that it will never happen means this was my first and last time.
The only good thing was the location
To noisey, inconsiderate of guests, no convenience for guests such as fridge or microwave., beds were not comfortable. To expensive for nothing.
The furniture and comfort of mattress! hotel should invest in MATTRESS PADS I also liked the location
Stains on the mattress n carpet
It was one of the lower priced hotels in downtown and I like Laclede's Landing. The staff was friendly at checkin. There is at least a second door between the living area and room so the noise from drunk people in the halls is reduced.
The room is dirty, there are stains on the floor and furniture. There are no power outlets anywhere and the Wifi is so bad I had to tether my phone just to check emails, so doing any work is impossible. Much better places to stay for the price, despite its neat location on cobblestone streets by the water, which is unfortunate.
Furniture and beds were comfortable.
Rooms reeked of mold/mildew smell. Changed rooms and the second one was just as bad. Lighting in bathroom is terrible. They didn't even make-up my room on the second day (didn't ever have the do not disturb sign displayed). And worst of all, they wouldn't give me an extra 30 minutes for check-out because we accidentally slept over from giving them a lot of our money at the casino well into that morning. Will never stay there again. It's definitely worth the little bit extra money to stay next door at the Four Seasons.
Friendly staff, moved our room without any hassle, room accommodations were nice.
Nothing amazing for the price. Our room was by the elevator, and when in the front part of the room (the suite section), it was really loud when people would be talking by the elevator. Restaurant choices in the casino were abysmal. Smoke from the casino permeated the whole casino, walkways, and restaurants. Needs to be smoke free!!
Location was this hotels only high point.
I did not like the bathroom. Very small and terrible lighting coupled with a sink that only allowed either cold water or hot water to flow. Lastly the toilet seat had a stain that was disturbing. I have a huge problem when a hotel that charges these rates can't replace a toilet seat with a brown stain on it. I must say that I blame myself for not paying heed to other online reviews which specifically mentioned the bathrooms. I will not stay here ever again.
The decor and quiet
The shower and bathroom didn't seem very clean. And the bathroom was TINY! When we arrived, the hotel was packed and there was no parking available at the lobby entrance. We tried to park in the lot and go check in, and the parking attendant was very rude. I understand that you have to have a parking pass to park there, but he didn't have to be so rude!
It's was great location to the dome where we went to watch football game best place to stay if u r doing something at the dome in st loius not even a block away
U are charged to make local phone calls and not told that till u check out
Cheap price hotel staff was nice . Average. I thought I was checking into the four seasons -lol my mistake
Dirty carpet, weird casino people. Needs update
We didn't have to drive anywhere to do anything. Could walk to casino, restaurants and football game.
The staff was not very helpfull. Could not use the fridge in 5he room because they filled it with drinks.
Refrigerator didn't work Wi-Fi was weak and kept dropping connection Need more electrical outlets that are usable bathroom was tiny need to post signage leading to the shuttle bus location
Tried to check in three different times and the front desk insisted that I didn't have a reservation. By this time it was around 11 pm, so my boyfriend and I went to check in at another casino/hotel with the slight chance we made the wrong reservation. After finding no reservation for us their either we called back to Lumiere and was told it would be another hour before they would be able to check our reservation as their fax machine was broken. At this point it was midnight. Needless to say, we didn't wait. We ended up staying at the Casino Queen in a similar room for half of the price.
The beds were wonderful. It was also very quiet. The location is great. The shuttle to the baseball game was very nice.
The carpets were filthy!!!!!! The carpets in the room and hallways were gross. I will never stay there again..... No clock in the room, no maid service one day, even though we were out of the room for over five hours. The room smelled so bad of deodorizer, that we had to leave the door open. If there would have been any other hotel available, we would have left.
