It is an old english style building with exposed beams. I liked the decor of my room and the fact there wasn't a straight edge to be seen.
Fantastic hotel we all really enjoyed our stay. One of our party is a head chef and he was extremely impressed with the menu and the meal. We are thinking of returning for a weekend so we can explore the local area.
When we arrived we had a short wait in the main bar area to be booked in.
Friendly & efficinent staff
Nothing - xcpt one minor observation the bathroom needed a bit of attention
It was a well positioned hotel in the village of Tutbury with excellent food and very helpful staff.
The personalised welcome letter, left on the bed in readinedd for arrival. Nice personal touch. The hotel itself and the grounds are very attractive.
We were unable to view any of the channels on the television due to interference, which worsened over the course of our stay. It would have taken time for an engineer to come out and by the time one arrived we would have been due to vacate. This issue was raised with a staff member who stated that she would have called an engineer had she have known. In fairness we did not mention it until the end of out 2 day stay.
I thought the hotel was very well presented with nice decore. The room was clean & spacious.
Close to major routes, full of character, quiet and beautiful room.
clean room and comfortable bed.
Trying to find the room was difficult
Everything was great, room was beautiful v. clean, staff v. helpful can't fault a thing. Would stay again and recommend to everyone.
The room that we were allocated was lovely and spacious and spotlessly clean. The dinner and breakfast were fine. Good to have a parking space.
The flat screen television was a bit awkward as one had to sit at a particular angle to be able to see the screen, and not get that negative kind of picture, but that might just be a feature of flat screen televisions (we have a conventional one so are not used to the new ones anyway).
