Our room had been recently updated, and was very comfortable. Decor was nice. Food was nearby. Walking in the park was very convenient. Good location.

The staff at the front desk was for the most part very helpful. But not always!

Our first time staying at the Ahwahnee. Its a great location and fantastic history and architecture... but that's what you pay for. The rooms were in need of updating. I was offered a room with a small patio (since we had two kids) and come to find out it was up against the roof and there were wasps that were living under the eaves. The drapes and shades were also broken. That said, we didn't come to Yosemite to stay in our hotel room, so we didn't say anything. The staff were very nice. The price we paid just didn't match the quality. But with limited options in Yosemite, we took what we could get. Overall we are glad we stayed there. But I probably won't go back.

Overall stay comfortable. Convenient location. Prompt concierge and staff. Clean warm pool. Superb Sunday Brunch. Clean Room and bathroom. Bath tub not so clean. This beautiful facility in Yosemite needs renovations. Drapes and the exposed stone columns need cleaning. Just want it to look more precious. Service at par with the Ritz but not the facility. No reason this facility be less than a Ritz Carlton. Yoga class will be heavenly after an entire day of hiking. We will stay here again if rooms available and if we could afford it!

Close proximity to Yosemite.

Our room was subpar. The floors were horribly stained. The pillow cases had oil marks, the bathroom was falling apart, and the bed was super uncomfortable.

This is our second trip to the Tenaya. We've wanted to like it because of its close location and advertised charm. This place is really no better than a best western. We will not come back.

The lodge was exactly as pictured, and was in the middle of the forest not far from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. It was a shame that the park was closed and tours were not running, but the concierge was able to come up with great alternatives for us to see the area and enjoy what was still open and we were still able to enjoy the amenities that the lodge had to offer, including great food and drinks at their restaurants..

rough camping includes lots of dirt, dirty beds, open tents with only 2 strings to close it but animals still get into your tent (like racoons!!!!) I guess it depends what you're into and how much you have to rough it. The raccoons getting into our tent throughout the night made it hard to enjoy. The rest of the camp is nice. Again, depends on how much you want to rough it.. as a mom, it's hard to overlook the super dirty beds that we had to scrub off before putting our sleeping bags and the tables, etc. Fearing the hantavirus was another thing to worry about as well..

This is beds on a dirty concrete patio with a partial curtain in front of them. You are given a dirty locker where you must store anything with a scent to it. I didn't even feel comfortable changing clothes because of the lack of a proper curtain. The community ladies bathrooms were not cleaned on a regular basis and the sanitary trash was overflowing for days. Almost impossible to get to the top bunk. The provided 'ladder' was not very usable. Pesky squirrels are everywhere including in your dwelling.

Location and the cleanliness of the facility.

The dining options were pricey and the service for our dinner was very slow. The food was good but not necessarily as good as the prices would indicate.

The fire place in room.

They took a weird amount out of debit card. More than what they were supposed to. The manager that checked us in failed to mention how that all works.

The fire place in the room in the cottages was awesome. Don't use a debit card here they over charge you. Even using the gift shop/ coffee place. Over all I loves it had a great time and give it 8/10 user experience. Will come here again next year. And bring cash.

We always enjoy staying at the Wawona Hotel. It takes you back to a time when life was a little simpler. The hotel was built in 1876 and has a rustic charm to it. . It is a nice place to stay while exploring the rest of Yosemite Park. In the evening you can sit in the parlor and listen to Tom Bopp play the piano and tell stories while enjoying a drink or dessert.

Charming: the BED was SO comfortable, I loved the radiant heating system that kept the room warm without blowing. The rooms are quite small (in line with the period of design). Donning a robe to walk out to the water closets and showers was unique.

Not really.

Drinks by the fireplace in the evening, the pianist playing show tunes; it is a place to be SOCIAL...the continental breakfast (and menu items) were delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and interesting 1900's era hotel experience.

The hotel grounds are a sight to see. My wife kept saying how cute the place is & how we need to come back. We spent a half hour walking around taking pictures of the hotel. Has the feel of a bed and breakfast.

Complaints would be that the walls are paper thin! We heard our neighbors entire conversation until 1AM. My wife was not too happy the next morning. Also, everything is closed during winter months (pool, spa, restaurant, train museum next door, etc.).

Before we stay again, they need to do something about the thin walls. We could hear EVERY WORD of the people next door! Also, the 'quilt comforter' on the bed is not comfortable to sleep with.

About the best deal you're going to get without paying the premium to stay within Yosemite. Hotel is about 1 hour's drive from the main lodge in Yosemite Valley. Bed and room was comfortable after a day of hiking.

Amenities were so-so, but I only needed the bed for the night. I left too early to try the breakfast so can't say anything about the food.

Close proximity to Yosemite

The rooms were small and cramped.2 small drapes were shoddy and didn't cover the window of one of the rooms.Hooks were missing. The bathroom was also cramped and the paint of the small shower (no bath)was patchy.Coffee makers didn't work and was messy.

The kitchen was run independently by a wonderful chef who was very accommodating and fixed great meals. The hotel was not good value for money and I will never go there again and will not recommend this hotel. I was embarrassed to have our South African guests stay at such a shoddy hotel!

My boyfriend and Iwanted to sleep in the park and chose Curry for it's inexpensive pricetag. We were a little nervous because of the mixed reviews, but were pleased with the experience. We chose a heated tent, which was really worth the extra money. The tent had a double bed and two extra twins, a safe for valuables, bookcase and lockbox outside for food items. No lock was needed. The onsite bar/pizza/restaurant was sufficient for a night or two. We loved sleeping in the park and starting our day minutes from epic trails. Bathrooms were OK, nothing great, but sufficient for a day or two.

Its location.

The expectations from this camp in Yosemite were average, and they were very far from meeting the conditions that the tents were in. The temperature was below freezing and the blankets were definitely not warm enough to let us sleep through the night.

Camping in Curry Village was a terrible experience for the whole family. The tents were not heated not clean at all, and the beds were no value for the money we paid.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
