All Vueling passengers can bring 1 under-seat bag free of charge. This bag must fit under the seat in front of you and cannot be stored in the overhead locker.
Which Vueling bundles include an overhead cabin bag?
Whether you’re also entitled to an overhead cabin bag depends on your bundle:
- Fly Light: Includes 1 under-seat bag only. An overhead cabin bag is not included.
- Fly: Includes 1 under-seat bag. An overhead cabin bag can be added during the booking process.
- Fly Grande: Includes 1 under-seat bag and 1 overhead cabin bag up to 10 kg (22 lbs) and 55 x 40 x 20 cm (21.7 x 15.8 x 7.9 in).
You may also qualify for an overhead cabin bag if you:
- Are a Vueling Club Premium member
- Are traveling with a baby under 2 years old
- Have requested airport assistance
What are Vueling’s fees for oversized carry-on bags?
If your bag exceeds Vueling’s carry-on size limits at the boarding gate, it may be checked and subject to an additional fee.
- Oversized overhead cabin bags: €110-€140 per item, per flight
- Oversized under-seat bags: €60-€75 per item, per flight
These charges apply regardless of fare type, so check your bag’s dimensions before you travel.
What special baggage can you bring on Vueling?
Vueling allows travelers to transport special baggage, including sports equipment, musical instruments and certain medical items, for an additional fee.
Special baggage is not included in any fare bundle and must be added during booking or after purchasing your ticket.
Key rules include:
- Maximum weight: 32 kg (70.5 lbs)
- Maximum length: 2.7 m (8.9 ft)
- Items must be properly packed, labeled and protected before travel
- Children receive the same baggage allowance as adults.
Traveling with a stroller or car seat.
If you’re traveling with a child, you can bring a pushchair (stroller) free of charge. Car seats must be checked as special baggage and may be subject to an additional fee.
At some airports, including Barcelona, strollers and other special baggage may be collected from a dedicated baggage carousel rather than the standard baggage claim area.

If your under-seat bag exceeds the maximum size of 40 x 30 x 20 cm (15.8 x 11.8 x 7.9 in), it may be checked for a fee of €60-€75 per item and flight. If any piece of luggage exceeds the maximum cabin bag size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm (21.7 x 15.8 x 7.9 in), it may be checked for a fee of €110-€140 per item and flight.
To avoid additional charges, make sure your bags meet Vueling's size requirements before arriving at the airport.
Vueling Airlines allows passengers with Fly or Fly Grande bundles and adults traveling with a child under two years on their lap to bring one overhead bag onboard. This bag must meet the airline's carry-on rules.
If you want to bring a baby stroller onboard your Vueling flight, it must count as your carry-on bag. This means it has to fit the same dimensions as all other carry-on items. If you choose to do this, you may check your other hand luggage free of charge. You may also check up to two items of baby luggage free of charge.

1. Check your baggage allowance before you book.
Not all Vueling fares include an overhead cabin bag, so review your baggage allowance before completing your booking. If your fare doesn’t include a cabin bag, you can usually add one during booking or later through Vueling’s booking management tools.
If you need to add luggage for only some passengers on a shared booking, you’ll need to do so during online check-in.
2. Add checked baggage in advance.
If you know you’ll need a checked bag, it’s usually cheaper to add it before arriving at the airport. Baggage fees vary by route, travel date and demand, but purchasing baggage in advance is generally less expensive than paying airport rates.
3. Measure your bags before you travel.
