Our goal is to provide travelers with a fast, intuitive and comprehensive travel planning experience and a big part of that is making the booking process easier. Over the last few weeks, we’ve made a few enhancements to the booking choices we offer on our websites and mobile apps.
We released an update to the iOS app that makes it much easier to book on one of the third-party sites we provide as booking options. When you find something you like in the KAYAK app on another site, we open up the booking airline, hotel or online travel agency site right in the app.
Just as helpful, our iOS apps also now include an auto-fill option that automatically fills in your name and billing information once you’ve saved it. If you have an iCloud account, your form info is automatically synced to your other iOS devices. We’re sure this will make a lot of people with less-than-nimble touch-screen typing skills very happy.
We’re also happy to announce that, in addition to hotels, KAYAK users now have the additional choice to book car rental reservations directly through KAYAK. Travelers can now reserve cars around the world with Advantage, Avis, Budget and Hertz – all without leaving KAYAK.com. The option to book cars directly through KAYAK will be available on KAYAK mobile apps and on local KAYAK websites outside the U.S. in the coming months.
