Already dreaming about mashed potatoes?
It’s the stuffing for us. ICYMI, Thanksgiving is only 6 weeks away – and if you haven’t noticed, we’ve been talking a lot about when to book holiday travel. That’s because things are scoped to be expensive, but, we have an idea for how to save if you waited till the last minute. If you’re getting to Thanksgiving via plane this holiday, here’s what to expect:

  • Flying home for Turkey day?
If you waited to book, you may end up paying a couple hundred bucks if you’re planning to fly anywhere in the US for the holiday – domestic flights during the holiday week are $468 on average*.
  • Is there any chance to save?
Yes! But that depends how flexible you can be. If you’re able to travel the week prior to the holiday, you could save on flights. Taking a domestic or international flight the week before the holiday could save you upwards of $100**.

The bottom line? If you waited to book those Thanksgiving flights, you may want to get on that. If you’re having trouble finding affordable options but have flexibility, try searching for flights that depart the week before the holiday.
