The location was great, right across from the ocean, and a five minute walk to the main plaza of Campeche. Beds were comfortable, maid service was very good, attention to detail. AC was quiet. Front desk staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful.
One of the two elevators was not working, and the elevator was small inside.Plenty of free, well-lit parking, with security. Great location. This is not a new hotel, but it has been well maintained. The hotel price on Priceline made it a very good bargain. There was a safe in the room, many cable stations, and several in English. Nice towels and even facecloths (something you don't find in many affordable hotels in Mexico), and toiletries. They had free cold water available on our floor. Complementary coffee would have been a nice touch, but it was available for purchase in the dining area. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Hotel Baluartes in Campeche. It is a beautiful city.
